Mortar resupplied is problem

Why did you make it possible to resupply mortar ammo again?

I heard yesterday that the mortar had become impossible to resupplied, I thought this was really good news.
But I’m so disappointed it was just an ERROR.

Hey I want to playing this game for shoot the enemy with gun
And even if I die possible, I want to be shot

I don’t want to die helplessly against an enemy who’s stuck somewhere and shooting mortars all day long.

further on artillery time limited is extended from 30 seconds to 48 seconds, but I don’t see any significance compared to before.

We just have to wait for 18 seconds.
It’s not even 1~3 minutes. just 18 Seconds

the damage is bigger than
before.

In this situation,
will infantry users want to play this game?

If you running hard to the point but suddenly die Countless
because of mortar attacks,

Wouldn’t it cause anger and futility?

I think many of infantry users have felt this experience. They won’t want to play this game any more if this situation continues.

I don’t think we need to get rid of the mortar, but I think we need to limit it.

British mortar sections (1 per platoon) had 30 rounds in the 3 man team, and 42 more rounds in immediate reserve.

US armoured infantry had 2 ammunition carriers and a whole half track dedicated to a 60mm mortar in each platoon… of for a regular rifle company 3 mortar squads each of 5 men including 2 ammo carriers

The paltry 10 rounds in Enlisted is ridiculous - the ammo boxes are actually REALISTIC! :stuck_out_tongue:

they should give off an indicator like a plum of smoke to give enemy team a target.

Honestly would want them removed entirely, but it seems people like their crutches too much for that.

im down with that but otherwise give me a way to counter them. I dont play them at all and havent ever been noob bombed by them so I cant issue the salt.

Im also not a camper and play the objective so dont ever really have a prob w them

One of the things about light mortars was the lack of a firing signature… so no.

NOOOO we need to ENCOURAGE shitty gameplay by allowing people to sit back and pump endless rounds into capture points and make them ruin an entire team’s gameplay, otherwise we ruin people’s experience! OK?

to be fair i play normandy and its got a ton of safe cap points, cant imagine the garbage going on in moscow with no roofs

Lol, you should try mortars, they’re fun! And I bet there are people who want to remove arttilery and planes too turning game into plain first person shooter without any fun elements but I hope that doesn’t ever happen.

Btw, developer already posted that they’re working on a solution, it’s just a matter of time. Hopefully a solution will be a nice middleroad which won’t allow to resupply crazy amounts of ammo/recreate ammo boxes literaly endlessly but I also hope they don’t overnerf them, like with yesterdays surprise by giving them 10-20 rounds, thus destroying mortar role completely.

Did not destroy the mortar role. It just made it a very high skill weapon that cant be spammed. I loved the nerf.

Yes, if they nerf them by making them unable to replenish ammo they should give them at least 20 rounds, maybe 30 etc.

I m yet to see a game where mortars are such a outrageous problem. I rarely see them to be honest :confused: the times I saw them were in conquest maps, and since I go for invasion and assault maps the most I can I rarely see them

But, non the less, the ability to refill ammo should be removed. Mortars aint never the problem. But the ability to refill the ammo was

Actually, artillery spam is now happening far less often, so that nerf really helped a lot.

actually, artillery have duration of approx 15 seconds, so you have 30 seconds of waiting (tested). Anything above 1 minute of waiting would effectively kill the squad and render it pointless.

As for mortars, that is truly disappointing. Nerfs to mortar getting ammo from engineers is problem for almost a year now and it is mindblowing that it is still here after many discussions and suggestions. We need this restriction back, I don´t care if it was bug or not because it improved gameplay while it lasted.

I think it’s quite opposite now, i feel that artillery have more damage

I think it does because of the overall HE buff, so it is more like a side effect. However, ever since patch dropped I haven´t seen so many artillery spammers. In fact, matches were sometimes even without a single artillery shell fired.

Agree. Less artys saw today.
I actually only saw 1 guy using a mortar. And that was the norm in the past.
I never saw a true mortal issue as many state. Again, it must be a conquest problem
