I’ve played this game since it game out and have dumped so much time and money into it. I’m worried about how the squad slots and the Stalingrad campaign pass will be repaid due to this overhaul. Secondly I don’t want this game to turn into Warthunder 2.0, the br system isn’t perfect and in some areas in the game really bad. Hope my worries are for nothing.

Him saying that is not fair for veteran equip low-end gear and play with new player is unfair for him

I dont see the unfair part however, you are not going aganaist them with stg44,fg42 and KT2 you are going aganaist them with Kar98,mp40 and a panzer3 early pz4, and a parity of equipment only skill matter

Everyone that started a new account on War Thunder recently knows how good a equipment based matchmaking is good for the health of a game, Smurfs aren’t a issue at all and as long as the equipment is similar everything is fine as map knowledge and familiarity with the guns don’t matter.

But I won’t complain, first match I get against sweatlords i just get back to bolties and ruining the new player experience and I will be happy knowing that it is a valid and intentional way of playing.

for this sake i really think they gonna come up with some sort repair/maintance system, so you can’t be top gear all the time (unless - you’re right - pay money). Knowing gajin, this is more than possible. They won’t reduce grind, they gonna just switch it. Although tbh i wouldn’t mind it, it would keep players spread thorought different levels.

Maintain the squad presets as they are today. So for every army there will be a big pool with weapons and vehicles from all years of ww2 BUT there should be presets for every period of war, kinda how it is today with the campaigns.

would make game really complicated. also early/mid/late wouldnt be historically accurate cause of reasons (was discussed in previous topics). there is also problem with MM and players playing with loadouts that they dont want to play.

I can’t believe why you can’t just make sure 1 nation tech tree, like you want now, but from there a so called ‘‘set’’ of squads for each campaign, and they can only choose weapons from that campaign.

Any new campaign that will be adding new factions will only be adding one on one side giving than most major ones are already in the game, this will create an extremely bad unbalance when one side will exclusively be composed of players with the minimum battle rating (BR) equipment due to everyone starting from 0 at the same time on a single side.
if tomorrow a France 1940 or Winter War drop with the announced new BR system (which clearly stated as being taken in account for a given time before matching everyone left together), it’s a guarantee than we will end up with Panthers facing H35s or Vickers 6t facing IS-2.

only if you introduce map/mode filter or remove assault, conquest, train escort, endless confrontation (ffs some people ended up with 5+ hours playing one battle). otherwise shit change.
