This has been said time and time again. The matchmaking system NEEDS an overhaul. Your battle rating system is honestly shit. I have played the last 3 weeks about 4-8 hours a day. 7/10 of my battles I either get placed with all marshals or the enemy gets all marshals and I get people who JUST TURNED SERGEANT. That’s not how these sorts of games are supposed to work. How have you made this game mainstream with this huge major flaw?
Introduce MMR so you can weed this shit out. There should be no reason why 5 rookies (to sergeant) and myself are going against 3-4 marshals and MAYBE a LT. Yikes, fix it.

Totally incorrect assumption that rank doesnt mean much. Rank doesnt mean much ONCE you hit LT. But it means an absolute metric ton when you are fighting alongside privates, corporals, and then you get MArshals with everything researched… maybe even BP or Gaijin gold guns. You just cant compete. Its bringing a knife to a gun fight. I can shoot you with a m16/m4a1 while you try shooting me with a kar98k and see how fair that is. Yes thats why BR is in place, but it isnt enough.

I personally enjoy the grind, makes weapons feel unique. However, that exact grind you are describing has already been completed by the marshals we are fighting against while everybody is grinding away their 2nd or 3rd unlock. Its broken. It needs to be fixed, it’s another cause to why people will not stay. Why play a game when everybody feels P2W because you’re in lobbies with literal effing gods while you are over here with your beginner weapon.
MM cant deal when 20 people with marshal rank select axis and 20 privates select allies. MM can only match what is available in the queue.
to fix this it would require either abandoning having option to choose sides(forcing you to play faction that you dont want to play) or putting mixed team of allies and axis vs mixed team of allies and axis.
even if game had millions in playerbase at any given moment (which it doesnt), MM could never work if 90% of marshals play axis and 10% of marshals play allies.
also game doesnt have that big of playerbase. iirc it has 6-12k concurrent players across 6 servers and with average match lasting ~20 minutes and having 6 queues, you get average ~17 players per queue for every minute of queue time for max 12k players. even though average number here is deceiving cause 75% of playerbase plays on 3 servers (crossplay on) and every server has different timezone, alongside different playerbase distribution with factions/BR, game really doesnt have that big concurrent player count for MM.
Well the game will have issues retaining players (and more importantly, making money) if they cannot solve this. You can even P2W and still absolutely lose because the other team is so unbalanced.
It has direct correlation to strength. They have better researched guns almost 100% of the time. That’s directly correlated to strength. If you were to attack me with a knife and I shot you, people would argue the “Dont bring a knife to a gun fight”. I hope you understand what I am referring to.
Maybe they should let us leave the matches without penalty. Nobody wants to play a shit round because of matchmaking failures.

I often meet a group of people who are very high-ranking but very poor in ability.
They just finished every game
Because more games are needed to make up for the gap in rankings and settlements

most experienced players that play low tier play max BR2 only, so they will be always at “disadvantage” from players with BR3 equipment, but somehow those BR2 players manage to win vs those BR3 players.
well there is no penalty already. unless you think that -1 ranking point is some kind of penalty…
It has everything to do with strength, you would be blind to not see that. If I have a private with no guns unlocked except the first one OR two and I am fighting against all marshals or high-rank people… there is a heavy/high chance they have finished or are very far in the tier. Not to mention they play “every game” as you say, so they have more experience. Definitely the wrong lobby to place new players in.
The -1 ranking IS a penalty. Especially when trying to be competitive. Enlisted is not meant to be competitive just casual I assume then.
The ranking system needs to go beyond your BR2 vs BR3. Why do they win VS br3? Because they play a lot. Hence the rank. They also have better weapons sometimes if they have spent gold orders (or gold). Hence the rank. I don’t understand why you can’t see that the matchmaking is a real problem. Maybe you’re one of the germans at marshal not wanting a good thing to end? But it needs to be fixed.
I am almost positive the real-life US military would have no problem with defeating those two countries. But they are allies. If you are insinuating that Japan & Germans were undefeatable in WW2 I think you should walk outside and experience a life without Nazi’s. Lol. Reminds me of the show “The man in the high castle”. I think you’d get a kick out of that.
