I still think adding the player rank to the scoreboard and killfeed was a bad idea … its a perception thing to people that dont know that it doesnt matter much.

I think the better solution (with the playerbase issues and the fact that SBMM / RBMM fails at working once you implement parties of varied skill / rank, ie play with your new player friend that you referred to), is to improve the NPE … expand the new player matching (which does exist where it only puts you with new players / bots the first 1 - 3 games, depending on how much xp you get).

enlisted is casual game
cause they know how to build rally points and play objective(which somehow majority of playerbase doesnt know). also usually regular tech tree alternatives are better than gold order weapons (with few exceptions) for same BR.
nah i know that MM is problem, just that you cant fix it without either ruining player freedom of choosing faction or removing faction vs faction MM.
suggest something realistic. so far best proposed solution is bonus xp for not choosing faction by selecting join any.

Two team that are mostly white rank. It doesn’t really show the difference between gold rank and white rank player.
Literally the top players from your team are gold rank.
The enemy team with less gold rank player performs worse.

If you look carefully, you will find that even white can score excellently against gold.

The thing is that the current match maker does not take the average battle rating of your equipment and use the highest BR of your equipment to put you into a match.
If you buy a battlepass weapon higher than your current research BR, i.e. the Breda PG (CR) which is BR 5 you will be put into high tier match with only one BR 5 gun. In my opinion this is a flaw of the current match maker. Another problem is that players can buy top tier premium squad with the highest BR, it’s the same as the weapon buying above.
People like to say rank does not mean anything, while it’s true that the profile rank is not a clear indicator of the player skill, it does however prove that a player who is a Marshal have more experience and win more than a player who is 1st Lieutentant.
In an ideal situation new players should be matched with bots or other new players until they get a good grid of the game, but Enlisted is not that popular and doesn’t have a large enough playerbase to have both a good onboarding experience for new players and have a fast queue time for everyone.

In the gold ranks you lose rank for losses.

i know, it still it isnt any kind of penalty. you can easily not lose your points just by not being brain dead in your team.
also rewards for ranks are pretty shit with “best” one being gold order soldier that is usually maxed out 1. or 2. tier soldier.
