MGs are too good at room clearing

Only if LMG couldn’t be used bipoded.

Idk if you’re joking but in close assault they don’t got time for a bipod.

LMGs in assault provided covering fire from the distance in case of german army. Other soldiers (weapons) were used to make the assault itself.
Tactic was simple: LMG suppress the enemy while everybody else rush / flank the enemy.LMG shouldn’t take part in CQC, it should support units that do take part in it.

In the German documents the commander with the mp40 goes in first, the rifle men behind him, and the Mg gunner finds a new position. They repeat this until they get to the fox hole/bunker/house and then the squad throws all their grenades while the Mg gunner hip fires.

I have never seen a single mention about the MG gunner going for hip fire instead of firing from set position. If you have any proofs, I’ll be happy to take a look at them.

well you obviusly have not been playing with ppd 40 drum magazine 70 bullers of room cleaning 10-15 kills no prob !.. mgs are also good but less ammo

I could argue that you skipped phases before the penetration but in Enlisted maps are so small that there is no place for anything more than penetration phase.

Well the op was about Mg being hip fired aka firing while moving even the us with m249 saw hip fires

M249 fires 5,56 × 45 mm and MG34/42 fires 7,92 × 57 mm so it’s not the best comparasion but I get what you mean.

In life it’s probably like a Rambo movie, hip fire, blind fire, firing while running so the op complaints about room clearing and call of duty hip firing doesn’t make sense lol

maybe we could do something to MGs to make them less effective in cqc without actually changing its accuracy or DPS!

Ever played Rising Strom Vietnam? In that game you cant walk and reload MG’s, in fact you even have to kinda put them or rest them on the floor to reload.
