So does germany get the MiG 15 too as the NVA did operate those too at the time?
If yes then good luck having any semblance of a somewhat believable battlefield.
EDIT:
Ok, it wasnt the NVA itself but their precurser organisation in the KVP that did operated them.
you can always do a cold war gone hot situation, and honestly they should take some alternate history stuff into an actual battlefield such as operation downfall which would have happened if the emperor had not broken the deadlock between the two sides of the big 6
Jets pls! Would love to see this.
Am expecting them at some point seeing what modern tanks and guns get added. Would be greatly dissappointed in DF if they didnât add it.
Can confirm this.
Even when uptiered, if you know what youâre doing youâll make any aircraft work in air to air combat, as long as itâs designed with some air to air capabilities in mind.
The only planes I brought up were Jets that were actually flying before the war ended. The allies COULD have easily deployed the Meteor and the Airacomet in WWII. The Me262âs first Jet powered flight was in July 1942. The Airacomet first flight was October 1942 and the Meteor was March 1943. If DF were to incorporate Jets, IMOP these would be the ONLY jets I would include since they were all operational and could have all been deployed in the war had their militaries chose to do so.
The Meteor first entered operational service on July 27, 1944, with No. 616 Squadron of the Royal Air Force. The Meteor was the first British jet fighter and the only Allied jet aircraft to see combat in World War II
Me262 was deployed and used as everyone knows.
Personally, I donât care if DF in the future chose to incorporate them as I am happy with the piston planes.
They could and they did. Even operated out of France and Belgium for the last 6 months of the war conducting ground attack. Just didnât see any air to air action aside from intercepting V1 missile out of England.
Yeah, and the Airacomet could have seen service for a year or two during the war had the USAF chose to use it, but they said it wasnât any faster then propeller planes so it made no sense to use.
Actually it did see other air-air action - but no kills - a Fi-156 managed to evade several attacks by Meteors only to be destroyed on the ground after landing!
