I have seen requests for DF to add the Me262 since it was an actual WW2 fighter that saw combat. By itself would sharply decrease the balance of power. However, since DF likes to incorporate experimental weapons, the Me 262 would not have to be the only WW2 jet powered plane.
The Brits had the Gloster Meteor which first flew in 1943 and commenced operations in July 1944.
The US had the P59 Airacomet first flew in October 1942, and the P80 Shooting Star which first flew in January of 1944.

The Japanese had the prototype Kikka which first flew in August of 1945

Theoretically, DF could add Jets to the game if they desired, however that would leave the Soviets out since the Mig 9 didn’t fly till 1946. I am not suggesting that DF adds Jets, just point out that if they so desired they have set the precedence of using experiment weapons with all their other weapons, and since all these jets flew before the end of the war, should make them feasible.

i want them but people said it too fast for the map or something, i think they are just afraid of it tbh (my hot take)

No neccacirly man soviets had their own Jet program which by mid 1944 it was deemed that it was not necessary
About that program for jet planes it resulted in plane number 302 , though it was never completed

Explaination
By 1940 the idea of the PVRD (ramjet) was familiar in the Soviet Union, mainly to boost the speed of piston-engined fighters. In 1940 Professor Mikhail Tikhonravov, on the RNII staff, had the better idea of making a simpler and lighter fighter with a ZhRD (liquid-propellant rocket) in the tail and PVRDs under the wings. This could put together various things already developed in the Soviet Union to create what might have been a cheap and quickly produced fighter which, apart from short range and endurance, would have had outstanding performance. Unfortunately, perhaps because it appeared unconventional, this project suffered from endless argument and foot-dragging, finally falling victim to a decision to abandon all such aircraft. According to Shavrov, ‘The proposal did not attract any objections from A G Kostikov, Director of the RNII. It was continued as a preliminary project, and approved by the Technical Council of the RNII in spring 1941. It was later examined by a commission of specialists at the WA’ (air force academy). This commission, comprising S A Christianovich, A V Chesalov, S N Shishkin, V I Polikovskii and others, proclaimed that This project does not bring out anything new’. Work proceeded at a snail’s pace, and Kostikov then took the proposal to the NKAP (state commissariat for aviation industry), where Tikhonravov defended it on 17-18th July 1942. In November 1942 Kostikov showed the proposal to K E Voroshilov, and eventually Stalin himself gave authority for work to resume, appointing Kostikov chief designer. From this time onwards many documents called the project ‘Ko-3’. Funding was provided for two prototypes, and to build these the RNII set up OKB-55, appointing as director M R Bisnovat (see earlier) and A A Andreyev as his deputy. Tikhonravov did the aerodynamic calculations, while stressing was in the hands of V D Yarovitskii. By spring 1943 two 302 aircraft were almost completed. Testing in the T-104 tunnel at CAHI (TsAGI) began at this time. In 1943 the original proposed ramjets were changed to a new design by Vladimir Stepanovich Zuyev. These were initially tested in a half-scale form, but full-scale testing was never carried out. After much argument it was decided to forget the ramjets and complete the aircraft as the 302 P (Perekhvatchik, interceptor) with the rocket only. The PVRD attachments under the wings were faired over, and the wing span reduced. This was flight-tested as a glider at the LII from August 1943, towed to altitude by a North American B-25 and Tu-2. The assigned pilot was initially S N Anokhin, followed by M L Gallai and B N Kudrin, with V N Yelagin as test engineer. The 302P was found to be ‘exceptionally good, stable and pleasant to fly’, and in March 1944 the second 302P was being tested in the T-104 tunnel at CAHI. In the same month the whole programme was cancelled. The cockpit, which was to have been pressurized, had a canopy hinged to the right and a bulletproof windscreen and frontal armour. The main and tailwheel landing gears were to have been retracted hydraulically, and the same system would have operated the split flaps. No documents have been found describing how the environmental and hydraulic systems would have been energised. Two 20mm ShVAK cannon were to have been mounted in the nose and two more in the bottom of the forward fuselage, each with 100 rounds. In addition, there was to have been provision for underwing racks for RS-82 or RS-132 rockets or two FAB-125 bombs.
With the benefit of hindsight this appears to have been a considerable case of ‘might have been’. Kostikov was a political animal who saw in Tikhonravov’s proposal a means to gain advancement and power. Instead, in 1944 a commission headed by A S Yakovlev found him responsible for the failure of the 302 to develop on schedule; he was dismissed from his post and later imprisoned.
Also had it finished it would have had 4, 20 mm canon + 2 bombs

yeah maps are too small for 1st gen jet fighter , they are fast but not agile

I think DF should vary the distance for reloading when it comes to planes. It would probably be harder for planes, but if they could, have one reload distance for bombers and one farther back for fighters, and if they added jets push it back more for them. It would be nice if they all had the same turn around time, as I can make a pass in my fighter and reload in short time, but sometimes it takes a minute or so to bomb, turn around to reload and start back again.
top speed of me262 is 870 km/h, p51d has 708, this makes the me262 just 23% faster. with a BIG penalty on turn rate they become balanced as every competent pilot can easily shake me262 off by flying sideways.
the only real advantage the me262 brings is (hopefully) good weapons and a speed that makes rearming very efficient.
→ people need to stop fearmongering early jet planes in enlisted as they come with heavy upside/downside profiles making them balancedly better than normal engine planes.
e.g. everyone lost his mind over the corsair, although every top pilot in this game knows the p51d (despite worse stats) is the more useful plane.
→ planes are not tanks, where bigger usually means straight up better.

DF could do it, and if they were thinking about it adding a jet to each faction would keep people from getting pissed off that Germany got one but no other faction did.
I want this variant as a premium if they are ever added tbh

If they would add multiple versions of it it would be nice.
While a bombload is less exiting they already are proven to work unlike a 50mm that might or might not work just like the 3.7 BK.
But if it does work the cannon might just be crazy good.

they could release the TT version with multiple 30mm autocannons & 3 rockets & a premium version with the 50mm cannon, multiple 20mm autocannons & 3 rockets.
the rockets have to be there to make it viable as autocannons still & after every update are bugged and dont penetrate tanks. if DF doesnt like rockets, they need to make the autocannon belts contain both AP & HE rounds & same for the 50mm cannon, so it can strafe the ground against all types of targets.

To be honest, the only jet planes that should be in the game should be the Me 262, Ar 234 and the Ho 229.
It would not be fair for the Allies to receive aircraft that did not see combat in WW2 like the IS-3 in Enlisted Just when Germany receives its long-awaited jet aircraft that it has been continuously requesting in the Forum for years To combat the constant spam of BOMBS and ROCKETS that has been suffered For years in Normandy And when we receive those planes, the Allies will necessarily have to receive them also when they did not fight. And they have spammed a lot with their planes
So only Germany should receive jet aircraft even with its negative points
In the event that this is not the case and the Allies receive these jet planes then Germany will have to receive these jet fighters for Disable allied aircraft

I feel the only jet that would be good would be the 262. Not since it’ll preform well, but since it has 4 30mms. Apart from that it’ll be kinda eh?
max speed means fuck all, we aren’t at the altitude where any plane other than jap planes can reach anywhere close to their max speed
no people need to stop expecting that these jets would be any good at all

With the size of the map, the only advantage would be that a jet could reload quicker, but I think it’s turn radius would be far worse then the piston fighters which would out turn it easily nullifying its speed advantage.
no it wouldn’t even achieve that, it would lose too much speed on a turn and take too long for them to generate energy that it would be slower than the seagull at br1

The 262’s only advantage is speed, which is nullified on these small maps.
they would be good by smart players who play for max efficiency. using speed, optimal geometry and map knowledge can mean enemies will never survive in their planes while you get nice strafings every cycle.
but this would be as rare as enlisted players building rallies, so there are no balance problems to be expected.
if your assumption of jet planes being too bad due to… - i guess turn rates - then giving them strong weapons is always a possible balance decision.
no my assumption that they will be bad is because i’ve flown early jets and they don’t really gain speed, hell it wouldn’t be until we have super sonic jets such as the F-100 and the MiG-19 until we have jets that can gain speed in a short amount of time
oh damn i lost 90% of my speed mid turn and i need 10 minutes to gain that back
I don’t really think you should be losing 90% of your speed mid turn, you can take wider turns, and even in small turns you wouldn’t be losing a significant amount of speed. Even in war thunder it doesn’t take me262s long at all to regain speed after turns.
