Alot of the time i get games that are only br rating 1 but im up against a bunch of marshals or generals with machine guns and the best tanks when i dont even have an engineer class yet, the game should give you games based on how many games you`ve played and how many wins/what rank you are and the br ratings should be based around them aswell as your equipment

Officer ranks (gold) and NCO ranks (silver) have no real bearing on matchmaking or skill.
They are just an indicator of who plays more.
You can have an entire team of officer ranked players, and still be kerb-stomped by a team of NCOs, if your team plays poorly.
Matchmaking is down to Battle Rating (BR). As you are BRI, you will come across BRII players (those with machine guns). Tanks are available at BRI. If there aren’t enough BRI or BRII players available for your match, the game will “soft-lock” you to BRI-BRIII, to fill the spaces.

i love to know how were winng just needed one base too win They have 3 players join the game and wipe the floor of the team n win the game??? was pretty straightforward forward then 3 ringers turn have shermans flame throwers have br 4 kit v br 2 kill120 each your game is waste of time if you cant even balance the game out run tanks and each had bazooka lol why bother if your just steam rolled by assholes cant be arsed to even bother with it any more - grey zone tanks can even see em v I Italian tanks pointless playing until you balance the teams n end people join the game 3/4 of the way thru shermans v crapy br 1 tanks u censor the post admin cos you know your game rigged for pay to slay I play br 2-1 max I can play 3 37 mm v 75 lol your a j joke

im out in sick of this un balance and constant up hill struggle to even win whats the point br 1 v 3 poitnless i face shermans with 37mm Italian tank lol nah im done until they make br 1-v 2 3-v ect 4 v br 1 nah pay to slay will win every game sheer fire power
guy said he only come to steal silver n criush newbys with br 4 teams lol to make players quit no wonder people wont play any more

Stop trying to fight Sherman’s with 37mm cannons? You’re fighting a midwar medium with an interwar at best cannon and wonder why you can’t win? I mean it can certainly pen a Sherman but I ain’t telling you where. Just get the 75mm casemate and go from there. Anything under 50mm or 75mm is worthless

M14/41 actually has a 47mm gun, but it’s nitpicking.
I did destroy shermans with it back in Tunisia, it’s certainly plausible but not easy.
I suggest upgrading to a better tank as soon as possible, the Panzer III J stands a much better chance against allied armoured vehicles.
Though facing BR3 tanks with BR1 might the problem itself, you are probably uptiered because you have some BR2 or higher gear which you shouldn’t use if you don’t have anything better than the M14/41.
Sherman weakspots: transmission, left lower turret has an area with thiner armour and the good old MG port, can’t go wrong with that.

As a self proclaimed Panzer ace, it is my duty.
The Sherman is literally already dead. Every single tank but maybe a Pz II can pen it. Even then I wouldn’t count it out. The only thing that keeps it alive is ignorance of that fact

Only the cheeks are reliable for kill shots. The hull can be angled and becomes near impossible to pen. While difficult, you can attempt to angle the turret as well. Meanwhile the Sherman can’t do anything about any of its weak spots
It cannot, the moment you angle your hull, you expose the 30mm side armour that won’t be angled.
It does work with Panzer III and Tiger I, just not with IV.
Funny. Angling the Sherman is asking for death too cause anything that hits the side at any angle will pen and kill
Well, let me just say this. There is no soft rule, there is the rule, and the rule here means there is no one up or one down matches. Level 1 should never face level 3, and level 3 should never face level 5, but I quit playing level 3 allies for quite a while because I was uptier’d a lot to level 5. So, lately, I have rebuilt my all level 3 Allied squads. Tonight, I played US vs Japan, and we won the match, however on the last objective, I noticed I was fighting next to a few US Soldiers with Mohawks, special camo and Thompsons. Now, I don’t know if the old US paratroopers squads that are no longer available has the mohawks and special camo, but I know these guys look to a lot like my level 5 US paratroopers. Same Mohawks, same camo and Thompsons. Now, I couldn’t tell if it was the level 5 Thompson, but I know I cannot change the SMG on my level 5 paratrooper squad, so, my guess is I got dumped into another level 5 match. 
So, there is no soft rule, that is just the lip service we are told, and this is why I usually just skip level 3 allies and just play level 1-3 or level 5 allies.
