Matchmaking changes!

I also recently had a match with valkay and Gulyas Bandit.

Maybe, since its not clearly outlined.

I dont care either way. Its a GENERAL improvement - worst case you see no difference, 50% of the time youl have a better game.

I dont know HOW you can have a problem with that.

cause it solved absolutely nothing. problem was never in number of stacks in each team. problem was sweat stacks. currently we have shitty random stack join which will fight against sweats. tell me what difference does it make when 2 friends(or 2 randoms) that are ultra casuals go against 4 player sweat stack?

So this means if I don’t get a match within 59 seconds, I click cancel and start my game search all over, otherwise I might get stuck against even more groups. No thanks, I’ll just cancel, click start again and wait. It would be so much easier just to add a solo match only option :wink:.

if you join at mid queue or at end of queue you could still end up in match with 2 stacks. although like i said number of stacks was never a problem cause even 1 stack can destroy randoms.

I know the Moscow Campaign maps are somewhat based on the areas around the city of Moscow, but there are many places like that in Central Russia, and none of them are tied specifically to the Battle of Moscow (1941) or any actual real life building/city, unlike Stalingrad, Rzhev or Berlin.

So ‘technically’ the “Moscow” map set can be any battle fought in Central Russia from late 1941 to early 1944.

I know it’s not ideal, and you probably know I do wish Enlisted was much more careful with WW2, but at this point I do what I can do.

There is not a single BR without some bullshit.

So yes PPS-43 and Puma on those “Eastern Front 1941-1944” maps have to be tolerated, I guess.

Obviously, though, you will never see me fly a Su-9 (1946) or use Volkssturm weapons there.

And of course I can’t suspend my disbelief for actual Battles like Stalingrad (1942), Rzhev (1943) when I see freaking jets there, so I quit 100%.

How are you going to matchmake by skill level Seriously?

  • Marshals? Only happens end of season

  • K/d? 9 german panzer mains will be grouped together and scream at eachaother about when the tank slot is available

  • W/R? Ppl will throw matches to get worse MMR and easier opposition .

You guys have very naive view of how things should be

This means that a team with two groups will face a team with one, two or three groups. If there are players in the queue waiting for more than 60 seconds, the maximum difference will increase to two groups.

The matchmaker will also take into consideration the number of players in teams too. The default maximum difference in players will be two. So one team will have at most two more players than the other. If the wait exceeds 30 seconds, this will increase to four and after two minutes to six players.


it needs to balance number of stacked players, size of stacks
that is out of ten players either have say six players in stacks
or have two players in each of two stacks for four players
also limit the numbers of players in stacks vs not
i thought they meant stacks when they said groups not groups of stacks
so even if stacks were balanced in size
one group of three is painfully weak to two groups of three
thats three vs six stacked players it only gets worse after a short time

an actual update to match making would be equal numbers of pc players vs pc players and equal number of console players vs console players. I keep getting games where my team or the enemy team has 80%cconsole players and the other team has less then 50% console players @RanDagon @MajorMcDonalds

:+1: :+1: Balance vs exclusion is good, also make crossplay the norm no opting out for console or pc

I have no clue wtf this post says, means or it’ s intentions and i play this game for 3 yrs now… teams, groups,stacks?? Take into consideration that most of us are dumb as f or not interested in math. Try to write it so a donkey could understand it… tx

team is one side in a match(aka soviets, japan, US or germany)
group/stack= premade team of 2-4 players(usually clans or friends)

this change only tells that one team can have 1 more group of players more than other team if MM is inside 60 seconds or +2 groups if it is above that.

Groups based on what? Skill level? Dick size? What defines a group?

Sure, so double the que times and completely ignore all game design and psychology about having SOME uneven teams in order to foster progression and spending.

Yeah we all want to have our cake and eat it too.

One of the main rules I learned while being a waiter was, never speak to the customer using back of the house terms and slang. Always be clear and concise and assume a customer doesnt know what a “baker” is, rather call it a “baked potato” when speaking to them.

There is zero definition as to what a stack is, what a group is, what a team is. I mean, we can assume based on our own definitions, but what do these terms REALLY mean when it comes to match making?

Basically, this announcement just causes more questions and frustration than it did to solve anything.

Cool. You have virtually made the group is recruiting feature that you just added a hinderance now.

Very rarely do i get people similar to my player ability even in my squad so this is just a grief to your matchmaking.

Not like it changed much anyway it only changed the mark colors but still found it funny.

Soon, Gaijin will have to admit The Merge has failed. Right now, they are trying to save face while also trying to undo The Merge’s problems, but you really cannot until you go back to Campaigns and start tweaking from there (since Campaigns were not great either, but at least we had more control over what maps we wanted to play and it was WAY more historic)
