This is not necessary a bad Thing is sufficient that every map let build different AT like is now, im sure in future wen the game get more map, normandy and berlin and other 1945 map get heavy field AT-gun like the pak43 for counter heavy and super heavy tank

So do AT squads get a bigger AT gun or is it the same one you can build with engineers?

Yeah, a map-specific AT gun, that sounds like a fun idea.

However, I’ve thought a lot about it since my earlier post. What I’m about to say negates my earlier post “If you want to add value to AT squads, give them stronger AT guns”, but adding a lot of powerful AT guns to infantry seems like a bad idea.
As it stands, the tank is already a difficult weapon to handle, and a tank ridden by a novice is easier to destroy than infantry and is high reward fodder.
If infantry can build 88mm guns and other weapons on top of this, playing with tanks may not be fun at all. With that in mind, the contents of this update may be in order.

good and logical update, But:
the AT gun being weak wont make anyone start using the overall too weak at-squad.
i propose giving their AT guns the strongest ammunition type they can get, to make them at least a viable pick.
also the squad is general needs 7 soldier slots instead of 6, since even with 7 slots it would be still weaker than Ass, MG and Flamer squads.

No I am talking about the new event SPAA, I have seen lots of players complain they can’t hit anything, planes bombers nothing…

As for MEABP thank you, this hopefully opens us up for heavier AT guns or artillery pieces in future :thinking::guardsman:

I have no idea about the significance of this update. I heard that AT squad only build the same AT gun as that of engineering squads. So if I wanna build rally, guns and anti-tank with one single squad, why not engineering squad? I can command 4 engineers and 2 AT gunner, and can build fortifications and guns as well.
Just like what others said, please consider to give AT squad more powerful AT guns and make all specialists squads really unique.

I really like the idea of squad specific engineer builds and love that you guys are expanding it. Having engineers squads be more general and specific squads specialize in buildables is very cool to me and it would be neat to see it further expanded.

For Enginner squads, maybe change their AT guns to a lower rank vs the dedicated AT. For example, the AT would have the Pak40/Zis-3/57mm QF where the engineer would have the Pak38/45-K/2 Pounder.

Furthermore other squads could have this as well including:

Riflemen Squads get a Sandbag bunker that has 3x or more health than the regular ones

Assault squads get a grenade box that allows for resupply of grenades and mines

Radioman squads get a radio bank that either pings enemies or speeds up the artillery refresh rate when you stand within its radius

Sniper squads get camo netting hides and elevated nests

Mortar squads get a large caliber stationary mortar and/or a 75mm howitzer

Am I the only one, who want more throwables (like medbox), instead of buildings?
Throwable ammo box for MG
Throwable rally point for snipers
Throwable grenade box for assaulters
Throwable panzerfaust box for AT units (high BR)

Have you already planned what Campaigns you will add this year? We are very interested in whether there will be current countries or new ones? :slight_smile:

I dont like it. Heavy equipment should stay with the engineer.

This is … GREAT. At guns for AT squad makes it so much better.

Something like an ammo carrier would be cool. In red orchestra and rising storm each rifleman carries an extra belt for the MG gunmers and a big part of winning in that game is keeping your MGs up and suppressing the enemy. Also in squad each rifleman has an ammo bag the team could use. Throwable ammo gets a big thumbs up from me.

really simple mechanism, but they don’t do it.
also reload on all kind of fixed mg.

We could use the supply crate as an one use ammo box for refilling weapon .
How about having a throwable grenade box ? (with a short use )

by the way when will we get the reload Fix for some weapon like the G41 and other i’m tired of reloading 10 ammo for nothing ,

Stationary especially. I know you guys just did a change to how the damage of their shells work, but I put 10-14 rounds into an enemy bomber (from radio operator) from the soviet AA that has the 7 round mag. It didn’t even show smoke or divert course.

I think they need to either be reverted back to doing concentrated damage or at least allow a flak sort of mechanic, where if the shell passes close enough to the plane it will explode and still do some fragmentation damage.

Also, I had an instance where i was shooting an infantry on a rooftop with it. It took 2 direct hits just to DOWN them, let alone kill them.

I must say I was hoping to get larger AT field guns for the AT squad buildables. I am rather let down by that.

As far as the paratrooper box, I think this buff was unnecessary. Given that their special thing is being able to drop in behind enemy lines so effectively already. I’m seeing so many buffs for offensive playstyles, but NONE for defense.
My buddies and I are lucky if we win 1 out of 5 defenses. Meanwhile, every time on offense we absolutely wreck. Only 1 out of 20 will we usually lose as attackers.
