This game should have decapitation.
I feel my katana useless, when cannot cut the head (

Now, I am not trying to be rude or anything, but hear me out on this. Isn’t a shot to the heart or spine just as deadly as getting shot in the head? Aren’t you assured of death if you get popped in those places, especially if you aren’t wearing body and armor?
Your damage multipliers are garbage. Notice how if I were to get shot in the heart, I would not fall to the floor, bandage myself, and then get right back up. Also, notice that the majority of vital organs are in the torso of the body.
My point is, I can just as easily die from being shot in the head as I could in the heart and certainly the lungs (if it were WW2 and I was on the front lines). So why do you refuse to go the extra mile with this game?
While that is true, the headshot multiplier is high enough (2.3x roundabouts?) that headshots from semi autos and rifles dont care (unless its a carbine)
Helmet is only a 10% reduction which does nothing for the large calibre bullets.
With enough hp perks it might buy you another hit from small calibre…but barely.
Helmet 10% damage Reduction to local area
Body Armour 10% damage Reduction to local area
This info might be a little outdated, but in practice Ive found it to be similar
Hands funnily enough are still 1x damage and I can confirm, as its a favorite target for me when you can see it sticking out of a window.
It’s very powerful.
Eugene Sledge, a US Marine who served in the Battle of Peleliu Island, published his service diary in a book, which included an anecdote about a BAR gunner.
One night, Japanese soldiers surprise the U.S. Marine position. As the Japanese soldiers came toward him, swords raised in the air, BAR gunner panicked and fired his BAR as a volley.
The muzzle of the gun ricochets from the lower left to the upper right, and multiple bullets hit the Japanese soldier in the flank, chest, and shoulder.
The Japanese soldier’s body was “cut off” at an angle.
I had my doubts about the power of that gun to cut a man’s body in half, but now that I have seen the power of the .30 06, I am convinced.
I hope the .30 06 in the game will also have the power to dismember a human body.
It’s a GAME not a SIMULATOR. The current system works just fine in that regard.
If there were actual issues putting down enemies, I might be inclined to agree with you. HOWERVER with the exception of pistol caliber ammunition there really isn’t any issue putting enemies down, and the small caliber ammo isn’t INTENDED to kill in a single hit.
In the instance of players using the vitality perk or even the one that makes you more likely to get downed rather than outright killed, they are sacrificing other perks in order to get those.
Ultimately I see no issue with the current way it works, just as @James_Grove said.
why would I look at that? I don’t think the Turks had such rifles in 1774. The fact that Kutuzov was then wounded in the head by a bullet is a historical fact. The weapons of those years had at least low kinetic energy, but they had a large caliber. up to 20 millimeters.
the hands can cover the body. They would work like a bulletproof vest.
I was more meaning its funny because the damage multiplier for the hand is so high…you just 1 shot people with a rifle when you can only see their hand. lol
I just said why it is so. it would be better to implement a through penetration.
Do not enlarge the text.
ah sorry. I understand now. gotcha
Fuck around, and find out lol
on the one hand, headshots are generally already a kill shot complete with being battlepass objectives while you get that nice, satisfying ding.
On the other hand, plenty of people i play alongside in campaigns like “Allies: Normandy”…look, let’s be completely honest here. I don’t say this to be mean.
But they didn’t exactly have much of anything up there to start with. What are the germans supposed to shoot? There’s nothing in there, it’s just…it’s EMPTY! it’s not even this big hollow cavity, the whole thing is rock solid. I could just throw away my M9 Bazooka, grab the guy to my left and just swing him at the german tigers. Literally jut effing WAIL on them with this dudes skull and get the “Armor Eater” award every match.
…actually wait that sounds hilarious. I will absolutely beat dudes, wielding OTHER dudes.
Meanwhile Nicolas Charles Oudinot:
maybe it was little bit earlier but it is still damn impressive xd
most headshots dont look like this:
more like this:
And yes, this type of brain trauma shown above is kill (not always instant what is interseting btw) but still, it is said that 10% of victims of modern gunshot wounds to the head (not the jaw or ear) survive. As somewhat crippled for the rest of his life, but survives.
What counts is the size of the projectile, its mass and, above all, the speed at which it moved during the penetration of the skull and brain. The latter is influenced by the distance and the strength of the propelling charge used.
Exactly, so why is it that soldiers in the game are able to stand back up after getting shot by an M1 Garand or BAR (not a 1903 Springfield though, because for some reason it gets to be special) in the game after “bandaging” themselves and going back to warfare like nothing happened?
Missed all vital arteries and vital organs, if only there wasn’t dispersion LOL
