Make the battlefield more lively

Enlisted battlefield lack of an important aspect, they are quiet, and empty of life outside the battle in your zone, and if this is perfect for Pacific map isn’t great for Berlin map, stalingrad map and Normandy map ecc…

So

I believe that there is need of more action going on outside and inside the battle boundaries in invasion game mode

Some idea

  • Sprite of AI Bomber formation and fighter flying time to time outside the battle zone
  • More AA Tracer fired from outside the map alongside search light for plane
  • Additional AI squad for the defender who are placed in defensive position and man defensive gun inside the map and once dead can’t respawn
  • Additional AI squad for attacker who help attacking the first point and once dead they don’t respawn
  • Random AI event like allies or enemies attacking from a flank or AI allies or enemies air raid

And more but i think you guy’s understood what I’m saying, making the battlefield feels more lively and making it funnier

I believe they should add squads that are specifically full AI that take wide formations include a ton more troops and flank maybe just to pad out the battle field so it doesnt feel empty except for the capture point. (Obviously they shouldn’t be on the leader board) or they could just be individual troops instead of a bunched up squad.

I like those ideas a lot. I’m on the same line of thought lately coming up with different ways in which battles can feel even bigger. Also how about having AI controlled paratroopers? This would work great for certain maps specially Normandy, and it’d be very immersive seeing a row of paratroopers falling from the sky when defending. Giving the impression of a big scale operation.

The recent inclusion of AI controlled tanks is a great addition that I was waiting for some time, and now it makes me dream how it’d be if they ever add AI controlled planes too.

Also, if AI could build structures such as AT cannons when they recognize an enemy tank is causing havoc. (I remember some months ago they introduced the ability for AI controlled squads to use their AT weapons and throw explosives at tanks, but I think it was nerfed. I don’t see it anymore). And this was great because most of the time, AI is clueless and just stands there helplessly waiting to get shot when there’s an enemy tank close. This needs to change.

Thank you for sharing. I like these ideas.

Also, it is a minor thing, but I wish maps outside of Stalingrad had 1930s/1940s cars and trucks that we could drive. Like ordinary civilian ones where not every single vehicle is a destroyed wreck.

Also tractors (mainly just for fun). Plus can be used as roadblocks, defensive measures and so forth.

Maybe certain guerilla squads could drive steam trains (its probable they are railway workers/engine drivers before the War)? There was an episode of the TV show ‘Combat!’ like that.

Oh and make it easier to mount guns on the bonnets of cars, various places on tank hulks etc. etc.

One more thing:

Map specific stuff. Like you said about Allied airborne AI paratroopers on D Day/Normandy maps.

How about AI Pacific Islanders who will randomly heal you? (Eg fuzzy wuzzy angels) or just like Pacific specific squads like MV Krait (Australian Z Force, of which the current 1 Agas squad was a part)
PT boats, Japanese Daihatsu barges etc.

Normandy would have Hobart’s Funnies to get around obstacles.

Ive previously suggested bulldozers to remove all the junk in the road. Maybe these could be generated like current jeeps/trucks on Normandy and Pacific maps. (Japanese steamrollers would serve the same purpose).

Or even people with toolboxes can repair partially destroyed trucks and .30 cal jeeps (eg as present on Ardennes/Bulge maps)
