AI Random event

Continuation from

AI is a integral part of the game there is who love it or hate it but is here for stay, so why dont play with it more?

If you guys played some paradox game you should know for random event I mean, event who can happen randomly during all the course of the battle and they can be positive or negative

Translating this in Enlisted those random event can really changes on how Enlisted battle are perceived, probably to the better I hope, some examples:

General

  • Order to retreat to the next defense point and burn all the highlights equipment before retreating, it reward with avoiding the enemy getting reinforcement once they cap

  • Reinforcement loss grace, for X time we can attack without lose reinforcement

  • AI reinforcement are attacking the enemy/us from the flank

  • AI Enemy/allied Barrage of artillery/rocket in this area

  • AI Enemy/friendly attacker/fighter Plane in the sky

  • AI Enemy/friendly paratrooper drops

  • AI Enemy/friendly tank reinforcement

  • AI Enemy/friendly recon plane

Factions unique soviet

  • Order 227, it fire once per battle at the last points of defending, it reduce the spawn time of infantry of the half, but disallow using vehicles

  • Sea of armour, it fire randomly once per battle and for every tank lossed two more AI tank like the one destroyed spawn

  • Urra!, it fire at the start of the battle and for the first point 5 rifleman squad join for help taking the first point

Faction unique allies

  • Logistics superiority, for X time all the squad spawn with more ammunition and with their weapons and vehicles be partially upgraded, it can fire randomly and multiple time

  • Airborne operation, it fire once per battle in case of losing and 5 AI paratroopers squad drop in the enemy gray zone for disrupt their assault

  • Shock and wawe, artillery and bomber call need half of the time and are stronger

Faction unique Axis

  • Blitzkrieg, it fire once per battle at the start if attacking, for X time, attacker don’t consume reinforcement and their spawn time is halfed

  • V2 strike, random event, if fire randomly and multiple time a V2 missile attack

  • Endsieg, passive, work Just in Berlin, rifleman squad in Berlin can spawn with random BR3-5 weapon

Faction unique Japanese

  • Warrior spirit, passive, Japanese soldiers using a katana, increase their speed and health of 20%

  • Banzai!, AI rifleman squad can spawn from enemy flank and charge them in a bayonet charge

  • Tunnel attack, for X time a temporary spawn is active near a random control point, it can fire randomly 3 time per battle

well this is interesting it like baldi basic but in enlisted

for context in baldi basic there are random event like flooding or inverse gravity which make the gameplay more unique

interesting but enlisted forum community love stagnation (no offense), well at least 1/5 love change i guess the rest are boomer or something

I’m from that 1/5 who likes improvements

Sad that some people think these would be improvements - a V2 strike for example?? Really? I know military history is not generally offered in high school, but come on…

As for the rest - let’s not make it any more warhamisted than it is already… please!!

The AI event would be great, continuing on from your other post. However the faction specific ones im not so sure about.

Maybe have an element of levolution, where random events could alter the terrain instead, say a plane ditches by a point that is normally open, now being there is a long grove plus the wreck itself to seek cover behind.

Maybe artillery might cause random builds to collapse as you move into the next sector, meaning maps play differently each time, as different building are left standing or not. For example, on one of the urban maps, an artillery shell could collapse the front face of a building which is normally a point, and instead of being a corner house with lots of windows, the round caused that corner to collapse meaning the ground and upper floors are now more exposed, hence meaning engineers would need to build sandbags to allow the defenders to occupy those rooms.

Maybe you could use these map changing events to as a way to balance a team that is losing, like above, if the defenders are causing a lot of casualties, maybe you could favour a “random” strike to demolish a normally used defender hardpoint. On the flip side if the attackers are doing too well, this “random” strike could instead level and archway that a lot of attackers use to assault the point or something.

I should mention that when I say “random” here, I dont mean like make all building destructible because as great as that would be, the devs have a lot of work as it is. But instead these would be pre programmed, basically in game cutscenes. And each map might have 5 random locations where these events might happen.

I like this Idea. I have suggested unique abilities for each faction but, this AI-Based mechanic is better IMO.

Some “commands” in list should serve as active skills that the squad can activate for a short period of time.
