Make sure all T-34-76 variants use the same crew order

All T-34-76 variants currently in the game have 4 crew.

It makes no sense to have different 1,2,3,4 crew layouts for them and messes up with muscle memory.

  1. T-34

  2. T-34 (1941)

  3. T-34 STZ

  4. T-34-57 (1943)

As seen with other vehicles like Tiger H1, Tiger E, Tiger II H, Panther G or Pz IV G, the usual crew layout is as follows:

I guess the suggestion is indeed “Make T-34 STZ use the normal crew order”.

Also same issue is with BA-11, the crew order is unusual

Please change T-34 STZ and BA-11 it to
1 - Commander
2 - Gunner
3 - Driver

PS what is this commander view on T-34-57?

The commander optics should be there

Update:
it should actually be vice-versa and the three incorect T-34 versions should be changed, because the usual crew order on all other tanks in other nations is:

1 - Commander
2 - Gunner
3 - Driver

The STZ has a commander sight, while the others don’t. So the STZ follows the order that tanks that have commander sights work, whereas the other T-34s follow the order of tanks that don’t.

That’s gunner’s periscope. It’s clear that STZ is only version with commanders optics.

Your only argument for nerfing STZ in very weird way is basically just “I don’t want to remember that versions of T-34 differs from each other”.

It’s completely obvious why gunner position was chosen to be primary position for some tanks. As for some tanks, commander is somewhat useful only when outside of hatch.

On other hand, I think that gunner of 43 variant should be able to use his hatch. I even made suggestion about that.

Why do we need different orders even if that’s the case?

Besides, I don’t think STZ plant did any modifications to the sights.

All T-34s regardless of the manufacturing plant had several observation devices for the commander/gunner:

  1. Telescopic gun sight
  2. Periscopic 360 degrees in the little capsule on top of the turret
  3. On some turrets even the loader had his own observation device

Basically, the commander/gunner of any T-34 in Enlisted should be able to use both gunner’s sight and commander’s sight.

Look at them in the test drive. The commander on the normal -76 T-34s can’t look forward/control the gun, whereas on the STZ he can.

That doesn’t mean that’s correct.

The “Stalingrad Tractor Factory” version didn’t have any modifications besides full steel roadwheels and interllocking armor plates.

Whether or not the commander’s ability to shoot should be removed is something I’m not qualified to speak on, but as long as it remains unchanged the STZ will have a different crew order than the other 76 T-34s. I would say to create a different thread about removing the commander’s ability to shoot.

It’s not about removing the commander’s ability to shoot.

  1. All T-34-76 had commander/gunner as the same person
  2. All commander/gunners had “gun sight” and “periscopic sight” on all T-34-76

As such, all T-34-76 should have identical crew order AND commander/gunner’s ability to use commander optics.
