i suppose it’s a matter of personal opinion.
but, weapons do not need more extra steps.
support weapons do.
you see, the difference are the targets and potentiality.
infantry > infantry & tanks
support weapons > infantry
Tank > infantry & vehicles
Td > tanks
tanks > airplanes.
might not make too much sense, but think about it.
mortars, radio artillery etc requires a bit of time, positioning etc.
which arguably can deal a huge blow if done right.
that blow means less enemy infantry on the point.
rifles, just point and fire.
it’s direct.
indrect fire requires on the other hand, to aim, prefict, time the shells and fire.
which you can in most cases kill alot of people.
without ever approaching or having the risk of taking fire ( unless from airplanes ).
but again, that’s sort of how i see it.
i would have prefered if anti tank rifles were all like the S18.
make this a bit more dynamic due to their killing potential.
i rest my case.
