While I agree with the sentiment; the devs have a video telling people to do it.
I’ve just started equipping all my engineers with AP mines and I try to mine the crap out of my own rally such that if anyone tries to be “clever”, they’ll just destroy the rally, and hopefully kill themselves, to boot.

sadly one placed mines cannot defend against 9 gooners with no life that are hell bent on mining your rally

Granted, it’s obnoxious, and offers little in the way of counter-play. Every time I lose an entire squad to a mine it makes me want to break something.
I can only restate what I said above, and point out that such behavior is (thankfully) relatively rare.
Agree rally should be treated like soldier and explode on contact after arming.

As for AP mines on rally points…I’m mixed cause it almost never happens to me and sometimes I want to see if I can catch a certain person that’s ticking me off in the trap
I love to plant mines on enemy rally points, I really regret that there is no chat with the enemy, I would like to hear his tearful anger at the fact that I blew him up again. This is an excellent mechanic that rewards those who broke through to the enemy rally point and punishes those who cannot protect it.

I’m just preventing possible fallout. It is an offensive word to some people of certain persuasions. Best to nip it in the bud before anything happens.
I don’t like censorship either, but this is the world we live in now.
Anyway, back on-topic. I tend to AP mine my rallies too, especially if they’re close to the frontline. If anything, it stops the enemy from mining it themselves.

it is reasonable to mine your rally point, place it so that the enemy cannot find it, move it if the enemy finds it and there is a suspicion that a mine is installed on it, and not whine on the forum about lack of skills.
For the one pleb that wants to mine it as well while others just shoot it?

Listen, these are typical problems with skills. I didn’t create this topic and I’m not the one whining on the forum that it’s being bullied. I actually conduct flank attacks and disrupt offensives by blowing up rally points with mines and destroying trucks. At the same time, I always place my own rally point or truck. If you don’t do the same, then you’re being unreasonable. The next time you blow up a mine placed above a rally point, look at the player’s nickname, maybe it was me who blew you up)))
Listen, mines are low effort.
Use TNT pack and you may actually impress someone.

just give people 0.5 seconds of spawn immunity when spawning on a rally to stop them from being camped before they even start to control their soldier
