Well maybe because even BR1 planes can shoot down BR5 planes? What question is this?
A Semovente could may as well destroy a Pershing so whats your point?
Thank you greatly for the mention. I’m honoured to have leant some research towards supporting Japan with potential future content and you’ve done a lovely job laying further options out.
I truly wish the absolute best for Japan, especially so being that it’s the only nation I truly play unless I’m farming silver with the any nation button as of recent for silver boxes haha.
but it also has only 2 terrible guns, dies from anything coughing in it’s general direction, and has a smaller armament then the dauntless.speed shouldn’t be the main factor deciding BR.
nothing,it suffers the same shortcomings as the plane above, but has much smaller bomb in exchange for some rockets, chill
while that may be true, again speed shouldn’t be the deciding factor,it is still a frail, weak gunned plane.to show why this should stay BR3 let me roughly compare it to some other planes
Ju 87 D3-is slower as you mentioned, but is infinitely more durable and can survive quite a few hit, unlike this which would catch fire at almost anything.
Su 2 M82- this this is at BR2,and it gets 200kgs more explosives and has another drop, has 4 much much better guns,2 gunners, and is quite generously armoured, and all that for 517 max speed isn’t bad,I would rather use this then the one I suggested.
P38 variants-available in both fighter and bomber roles at BR 2 and 3,this plane has over 700 max speed,a 20mm and 4 50 cals which shred any japanese plane, and rockets that are really good against infantry and can pen any japanese tank (even the Ho-Ri from the roof)
A20 G25-at BR4,this thing is an underrated beast,it has a larger payload then the suggested plane, has 50 cals shoved everywhere,in a few gunners as well, that melt any japanese plane, while it’s speed is 550,which is catching up to this plane despite it’s larger size and incredibly better armament.
Ap4c-I know this isn’t an attacker, but it plays the role of one very well, those 8 HVARS nuke infantry and can pen any japanese tank (again,Ho-Ri can be penned from the top),has an incredibly strong forward armament of 4 20mm cannons, and has 700 speed.a fighter at the same tier would be better at everything.
Honestly yourself, Debayn, killerwolf, Delavr and a bunch of others I can’t quite remember off the top of my head (apologies for my memory), have been invaluable to providing ideas for Japan and have inspired me to try do my part too. With my posts about the
Japanese Type 89 I-Go Medium Tank
Kyushu J7W Shinden
And a look at how spoiled for choice Japan is for body armour style cosmetics in Body armour for all
Also get a load of this Japanese “body armour”, called the tortoise shell that was developed between 1939-1940 for machine gunners and or snipers.
Imagine an event sniper squad with this on the backpack slot
fun fact, they have normal body armor and suicide vest xD
Japanese AT event soldier is Anti tank grenade vest. He gives Shermans a big warm hug xD
OMG the fucking headband combined with the bamboo stick would be the actuall best thing ever!
Kavoom~
Especially the rocket launcher is a neceseary adition
plane with rockets they are even in war thunder, blame snail for dont add it yet
Unfortunately, we are already present in Disneyland.
I see. You can perhaps argue for the TE-4 at BR IV. It kind of reminds me of the DT-29 for the Soviets. But I am not sure about the Type 98 though. It feels a bit too similar to the Type 100 MG that we already have in-game. I would go with this beauty instead.
No stock. There are Japanese Lewis guns with proper stocks.
there are type 92s without shroud ,too
(Without shroud variant both with & without stock )
I see. Thanks for the heads up mate.
You may be interested, but the book 佐山二郎(2008)「小銃・拳銃・機関銃入門-日本の小火器徹底研究」光人社NF文庫 states, that all semi-automatic rifles of the 1930s competition had the option of attaching telescopic sights.
There is also a good Russian article about Japanese semi-automatic rifles, from a man who is probably the best in Russia to understand Japanese weapons. He says that the automatic version of the Type Hei was tested with Type 97 telescopic sight.
P.S.
Anyway I managed to find photos of the Type 97 modification with optics .
