I’ve proposed this once before probably a year or two ago, and since seeing another post about the M1918 Beretta made me think of this again. I really like the M1918 despite the crappy sights due to the upper magazine, but Beretta did build a prototype of the same smg, just relocated the magazine to the bottom. I know DF has introduced a lot of prototype weapons in the game, and now are starting to introduce guns from the Wild West Cowboy and Indian days, so why not go back and put this prototype M1918 into the game since it’s at least world war two era correct. Keep all the stats from the existing smg, just take your model and move the magazine to the bottom side and add it to the TT as another level two option.
Beretta also produced a prototype version of the M1918 with a bottom-placed magazine feed. This was achieved by flipping the receiver upside-down; this also meant the cocking slot was facing the left side and the spent cartridges ejected straight upward. This model was not put into full production.
That would be a very cool addition to the game. I seriously hope they add it to the tech tree, not some $40.00 premium squad.

No not to the TT because its a prototype. So, maybe add it to an event or to the BP

While germygerms already have many BRI, BRII or BRIII SMG’s

Axis are already swimming in BR2 SMGs, just buff the existing ones or at the very least add Mas-38 to tech tree.

But just because one dumb thing happened for one faction, doen not mean every faction had to.
Too true…the Uragan except for 50 extra rpm and maybe better accuracy and recoil is just a worse PPS-43. My personal favourite to use is the PPS-42…it just seems to hit harder than the others.
I’m not even going to list all the buffs that the soviets got that weren’t really needed (the madsen was the only one that really required one). However, that’s a story for another thread.
Yeah, the Madsen really sucked which is why I bought four RPK 1943’s, but I have one Madsen in my APC squad I rarely use that I used a few weeks ago getting to use the Madsen again, and it wasn’t bad now. I still prefer the RPK, but it needs a buff of a bigger mag size as having only 15 rounds can get you in trouble real fast, it needs a minimum of 20, but 25 would be great.
I used to hate using the madsen too…even with max vertical recoil the gun bounced more than a low rider with hydraulics. Now it’s actually worthwhile using.
A gun that the breda is better than for once. It’s not a bad weapon; it’s just there’s better alternatives.
Some guns I hate just because of their sound. I dislike the sound of the M1 and M2 Carbine, it just makes them sound so weak. Now they used the same sound for the Fedorov 1912, which makes me cringe when I have to shoot it as well. 
However, since I have six of the Yakizov pistol smg’s I rarely use the Fedorov, I only do when I have semi auto kills as one of my daily objectives. However, if I have that goal I usually play level five to obtain it.
Exept it was not a one of with prototyps beeing turned into the TT.

Look i understand what your saying but i think your mixing things up. Soviet buff stupidity is not the same as prototype stupidity.
Two different carogories. My main point is that i would rather not see prototypes in the TT, especially not Germany, especially especially not when its so similar to others weapons.
But overall i like the looks of this weapon and think its cool.
