The Uragan is basically a buff to Soviet faction, and a buff that really had no point at that.
And I get the unfavorable views on prototype weapons. But at least the devs are only adding guns that were actually made in some quantity (20 - 150), so there’s that. It could instead be blueprint guns that never saw the prototype stage, or weapons that aren’t even from WWII.
The only gun that I know was a one off was the Uragan. The T20 may have also been a one off too.
Maybe the Tokyo Arsenal too.
Oh and the RD 44 too.
So there’s a couple.
The Hyde M44 had 25 produced.
The AS 44 had 6 produced
The type 2 had 125 produced
The type 4 had 375 produced (250 functioning)
The type hei had 50 produced
So yeah, not massive numbers, but definitely enough to be fielded, and some were.
Well, should prototypes be tech tree? Probably not, however, “IF” DF has already added prototype weapons to the tech tree, then the precedence has already been set and Pandora’s box has already been opened. Lets be honest, if DF made a M1918 Beretta with bottom mounted magazine it is not going to be a game changing weapon. It will just be an improvement on the existing smg, so adding it to TT IMOP wouldn’t be a big deal. I wouldn’t use it anymore then I already use the existing smg, but I would replace the ones I am using for the new one simply because the sight would be better.
