when I was in the army here in spain we use MG42, and I can tell you, no one can shoot it while walking. you will fall to the ground for sure. It has a lot of recoil to use it stand.
If you see it on the video, the soldier has a position to shoot and look how he moves, imagine where are that bullets going…
I could accept devs allow us to use MG standing, but not walking. and while standing I suggest to take 1-2 seconds (to prepare) before shooting or you will fall
Falling over is pretty common in basic training on mg drills. You learn how to deal with recoil. People falling over is so common they back you up the first time you spray away.
best way to balance lmg would be remove ads while standing and crouching.
this would literally make lmg users vulnerable in most of the situation.
proning and support with bricks and wall should only be the option to use lmg ads.(my opinion anyway)
also increase lmg accuracy substantially .
game becomes super easy once you have a lot of gunners actually. i run around with bren in my entire game and get 50+ kills most of the time even with such terrible ping…
lmg is trully broken right now and it need some fixing.
That’s not wrong that gunners get most kills. In military squads tactics often revolve around machine gunners which do most of shooting, riflemen have only supportive role. Snipers job is to counter machine gunners. Getting a lot of kills with MG doesn’t mean it should be nerfed, because everything could get tons of kills in skillful hands, also planes or sniper rifles.
Nope friend, it’s other way around - MG is a tool to dominate noobs, for decent players or snipers it’s not a problem to deal with MG. Then everything automatic could be called noob and only bolt action would count as ‘pro’ if we start categorising weapons noob and skillfull ones.
But that is good! In Normandy i was top3 in most games. At Berlin from lvl 1 to 8 me and my teams got stomped in CQC on point retakes in most games by those PPSh, DP27 and SVT-40 players. Now at lvl9 i got MG34 and G43 and it’s getting easier dealing with thoses auto weapon players. Yes, gunner is powerful weapon class but we need MG’s on both teams for a good balance and dynamic gameplay.
Different gameplay. If one weapon is clearly superior to the other, then why spend time and resources implementing the following? No one will use it anyway if they will have a chance.
Yep, that’s the whole point of leveling up - to get better weapons over time because also enemies are getting better weapons. It reminds me of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game where at start of the game you have leather jacket and pistol and at the end of game you can carry exoskeleton armor and top-tier automatic weapons. I love that that Enlisted have this little element of leveling up your gear. It isn’t really like cs:go where same weapons are being used all the matches.
It’s one of the forms of monetization in the game.
While “starter bolt actions can oneshot anyone” and whatnot, late game weapons are SUPPOSED to be stronger, in order to push people to either pay or play longer.
It’s also some sort of “reverse difficulty”, like in those survival games where you struggle the most at the beginning, until you manage to obtain better tools and resources.
