Let’s go for equality for all so we all go blind especially in BR5
when you look at it from a certain point of view this game is a number game and having anything that increase your life expectancy makes a difference so we either have it for all or none at all.
The point of cosmetics in these games is to individualise the appearance to your own liking - having one specific cosmetic that actually benefits in combat makes all other cosmetics obsolete, which in turn destroys the whole purpose of the cosmetic system to begin with.
i dont know, Game is more then 3 years old and we talk about a starter feature…
After 2,5k hours of playtime i didnt see any problems with that body armor thing…
Did you Guys see no other, bigger Problems then 10% more Health for only one Fraktion?
BTW Russians have much better Clothes, theyr Camoflages are awesome.
I have a Russian Squad that looks like Germans, thats way more dangerous then 10% more Health.
Just get gud and Aim for the Head?
Thats War, War isnt fair.
Good to see someone else who wants damage reduction cosmetics to go I guess I’ll be seeing you in the future when this topic comes up again
At this point I’d rather the 10% damage ordeal just get removed from it so this whole stupid crying and bitching over a pointless 10% damage reduction (which unless you are only using Pistols won’t even effect you.) is getting old.
Like this is the 6th or 8th or god knows how many post about this stupid ordeal. I’d just rather the armor be just an appearance item and you know what why don’t we also do the same for helmets too. Just get rid of this whole slightly less damage ordeal in whole. Including the German engineers helmets.
No
No need of removing the body armor.
It is a historical item, 10 % dmg reduction is neglible and there is no need of nerfing Soviets at the moment.
(Soviets are probably the weakest faction now)
It effects some weapons like semi autos - which are already pretty “meh”
10% isnt a problem - but combined with 35% vitality and that other 10% ish from paratroopers and flamers makes stacking extra health very toxic.
I have already seen Soviet full teams all rocking body armor.
It makes a difference - a difference even if small is an unfair advantage nonetheless.
why not include this criteria for weapons?
why not go about how soviets have as44 or rd44, or panzerfaust? also USA used german captured rocket launchers as soviets did, so why not include panzerfausts for them also?
and they got pershing and will get super pershing soon
not to mention it leads to p2w mechanics in the game. although combat armor is not that useful in majority of situations in the game, it still gives advantage to specific set of combat situations that other side just doesnt have.
cause it is not that widespread and 10% damage reduction is not that noticeable in majority of situations. in most cases you are just killing bots, so one extra bullet doesnt make any meaningful difference. when you are against other human players and then difference between killing someone with 1 bullet with fg42 or 2 bullets becomes noticeable, when enemy only needs one bullet with his SA or SF.
if there wasnt HUD and there was friendly fire in game it would be dangerous.
nope. this is game and game need balance.
not true. there are specific situations where it matters.
have been playing soviets lately (solo).
or if you are talking about equipment? cause they are up to par with axis there.
Equipment is a copy-paste of German equipment, except of worse vehicles.
Im talking about the win-rate which (for me) is lower than for Germany and Japan.

Here your’re talking about darkflow design philosophy. Generally Tier5 looks like 1946 era equipement.
Even AS-44 RD-44 were at the time rapidly maturing prototypes that likely would go into production, but for the end of the war. AS-44 only stopped due to the death of its designer for example. Not having the US WAR lmg or MG-45 in the research tree is a bit of a crime since these were slated to enter mainline service in 1945 btw.
Body Armor in the ABOVE CASE Was only entering service with US, Jap and stayed with Soviets enmasse. It was NOT utilized by end of the war by Axis powers.
I didnt say no axis body armor, I like the armored engineers for Axis and want more units like them as f2p/premium loadouts.
As pointed out above I want some historical differentiation: see here:
and they got pershing and will get super pershing soon
Ur trolling right?? Pershing a tank lighter than a Panther, and with 100mm armor a 1945 era “heavy”???
cause heavy tank is defined exactly how? by weight? 100mm armor is not enough for heavy tank? that makes tiger E a medium tank?
when it was in service pershing was classified as heavy tank.
still not entered production, so same rules should apply. for DF it was enough if there was prototype (or even design) for them to introduce it to the game.
cause heavy tank is defined exactly how?
Here you just dont know what ur talking about or why Pershing is a medium/“heavy” re doctrinal and logistical/legal issues. Look into it before telling people to try to slug it out with a T2 Terminator because theyre both “heavy” on some website you read.
still not entered production, so same rules should apply.
There are no rules here; only deduction of what Darkflow seems to be going for. My deduction is outlined above, it generally works for everyone except Japan since they literally need prototypes that werent even slated for production to be competitive.
was pershing classified as heavy tank while in service? yes or no? also they will get super pershing.
nah… DF said if anything existed in time of ww2 it is fair game for introduction into the game. except japan with its paper.
You can keep your body armor just get rid of the 10% damage reduction and keep it as a cosmetic and do keep in mind whenever the player base shifts right back to the Soviets we’ll be having this conversation all over again.
No don’t give in to the crybabies.
Just no. Seems to fly over your heads too, kids.
Don’t care if they added more armor. If it makes schizo noobs like you happy that there is no “unfair advantage” more the marrier. So we can stop listening to the bitching and moaning; well for the moment anyways…
People will use any excuse to cover up their skill issues in this game. These same people won’t acknowledge that all factions have different strengths and weaknesses. Want a good example? Soviet airpower is the weakest out of all the factions but you don’t hear soviet mains complaining.
I think limitation body armor to only USSR is good idea. I agree.
