Limit body armor USSR

It is relevant to my low damage Beretta. The fact that some faction is unpopular should not be an argument for making it stronger.

Half of the forum is like that. Even the moderators have already given up. Everyone just fights for their faction. I have an advantage because I play all but the Russians. That armor makes a difference, I need one more hit to kill him. With seven soldiers, that’s seven hits more. and two less kills. or three. Even a soldier with one percent of health can shoot.

No.

We should strive to be historically realistic;
USSR deployed them to a medium degree - ie theyre an equippable cosmetic
Japan used them to a medium degree in 2nd half of war - they SHOULD be a equippable cosmetic
Axis used them in specialty units - they should be in f2p/premium squads
Allies experimented with them / started equipping in late war (M12 armored vest, T64 vest) - likely f2p/late war premium squads.

I think thats reasonable. Unless u want to push the all should be equal meta, in which case u open an entire can of worms re Weak AT, different grenades, 100rd MGs, SMGs/ARs etc etc, which honestly is a hard pass.

Agreed, I just wanna put on those fur caps because they look cool, but helmets have a functionality so I use those instead. And it’s called “cosmetics” so I don’t get why they should have a use in the first place.

This is not balanced. Everyone should be able to wear a bulletproof vest. Let’s not try to be historically accurate, because history sucks.

they can be ingame, but just as purely cosmetic without bonuses. if they are functional then they need to be part of the equipment that can be bought for silver.

and yet somehow we are getting equal meta with every new update.

Historically accurate game

Yeah no dog; u lost me here;

Im not asking for a Captured Soviet/Amerikan Tiger2 for balance reason; Or Pzfaust for USA; so Im not gonna ask for body armor for countries that didint use it en masse.

Soviets suffer shit Air, US no hv tank; Axis can suffer with 83% dmg reduction plate helmet for every f2p player. O7

Most people who play games are t interested in how it happened historically. They want to have fun while playing. You can’t even fake a historically accurate game. Historically accurate is Allied air supremacy, and much larger numbers of tanks. 1,300 tiger tanks and 50,000 sherman tanks were produced. If we want to be historically accurate, then also in numbers. Otherwise it won’t work.

Im not getting into 5 free shermans or 10 free T-34s per map for faction realism here;

I like faction variety; im fine with armor having a speed penalty but beyond Japs missing their body armor (& more f2p/premium squads coming with some armor protection for Axis/Allies) Im completely fine with how this is handled by Darkflow currently. No one on reddit seems to mind, just the usual suspects here continue to ask for this again and again.

Just respectfully disagree, since I want(& am getting) a modicum of realism that Enlisted provides.

Play 5.0 Americans. Then write how it works. The Germans built fewer, much better weapons. Americans much worse weapons. You cannot pit one high-quality German weapon against one low-quality American weapon intended for mass production. This is not historically accurate.

Reddit is an echo chamber. Nothing more. You are silenced by the majority opinion with downvotes.

I do play 5.0 USA regularly
I literally have no complaints about them?? Beyond nerfing Hei auto-smg-MG-AR-super-rifle for balance reasons (which is a Jap problem)

Literally no one complaints about body armor but (~3 ppl on here); I play the f2p assault engineers for Axis and am genuinely happy they have it; forcing cover/prone gameplay to hide the body but expose the head is super interesting play pattern. And it tickles my historical flavor/immersion to boot.

Do you play historically accurate military gear? The M2 carbine was not that widespread. T20E1? Prototype.

Just because you don’t see people complaining about it doesn’t mean they aren’t complaining. It’s unfair, that’s a fact. If you don’t think it’s anything, why do you have such a problem with it as if it was just cosmetics?

Hold on, if were getting into historical production numbers??
Stg 44 production hit 426k units; M2 carbine production hit 600k by 1945
:man_shrugging:

why do you have such a problem with it as if it was just cosmetics?

I dont have a problem; Im completely fine with current set up, outside of adding cosmetic armor to japan en masse.

Se propio dobbiamo essere precisi il bonus del 10% per i sovietici è dato a tutti e non solo dietro ad un evento, comunque sia si sta chiedendo la totale rimozione di bonus per i cosmetici.

Several tens of millions of soldiers fought. So those numbers are just a joke. And not every weapon made it to the front. The fact that it was made does not mean that it was given to soldiers and that it was fired. You have to find out a little more than just the number of units produced.

ah I see I’m glad you’re supporting body armor for all
