idk what you want to preserve when most of the weapons werent even used in those campaigns. ffs pacific japan is half fantasy, moscow also, berlin end game equipment is fantasy. devs already desecrated any history in those campaigns for the sake of balance.
and core game isnt historical. neither weapons in those campaigns are historical, neither squad composition is historical, neither is weapon usage realistic (by that i mean MG run and gun style) and neither are ingame tactics realistics.
game was dying and you should come to realization that this is arcade squad based shooter with ww2 theme and not historical FPS.
