Laying a Minefield

Mines arent effective alone, as everyone knows AT-mines are used to block roads usually or other keypoints. A single mine wont do any good there irl neither will it in the game.

I suggest giving Engineers (or a Pioneer/Sapper if we get such class some day) the possibility of building a possibly 5 mine crate, from where you could order your bots to take the mines (or it could serve like a normal ammo crate, just with AT-mines) and lay them on where ever you choose. The pictures should be quite self-explanatory.

No. They specifically limited mines so they couldn’t be spammed. This completely invalidates that restriction.

What use is it to have AT-mines in the game when they cost 3 bronze orders and are currently completely useless. A normal Expack currently is a guaranteed tank kill when mines are a complete waste of time

Good. Mines are a no skill weapon. As such, their effectiveness should be low. Otherwise, their “reward”, aka kills, outweighs the “cost” of just turning off your brain and placing them down.

Wait a minute, aren´t backpacks for mines used to carry more than one mine?

Also, too many mines would cause nothing but problems, not to mention what it could do if anti personnel mines will be eventually included too in such system.

With mines you don’t risk being shot. Low risk, low reward.

Nope, only grenade backpack exists. You can still carry up to 9 in a single squad, however.

Thank you for clarification.

The minefields arent easy to lay down, maybe at your own spawn and isnt it good that it would atleast make it a bit harder for enemy tanks to spawnkill you? Would be quite difficult to toss them at the enemy tank spawn, and as the mines currently cant be camoflaged they can be seen easily if the driver pays any attention.

Except tall grass and bushes exist, and tanks are blind. And they are very easy to lay down, lmao. Alternatively you just put them into a choke that they can’t really evade and slow them down considerably.

How many times have you gotten a AT-mine kill? Or died to one?

Mines are honestly really dogshit and I think Pilot’s idea has merit.
A small spread of mines would fare a lot better than a single little ration can turd that 99/100 times is never run over even in high traffic areas.

You can place a bunch of mines by bringing more. No need to refill with engi. Or did you forget how broken refill is with mortars? They’d be useless without it

So maybe option to use all mines in your squad to set a minefield (so you don’t have to switch through all your soldiers). It would have similar result as proposed while not changing the current ballance of the mines.

How do you bring more? They cost 3 bronze orders, most of my guys dont even have frags and they cost 2

Great suggestion, Pilot!

Grinding for orders? Just like how you get a full squad of garands

With how trash they are I’m not wasting any more tickets on them.

Irrelevant to the conversation.

They’re useless now tbh

That’s a good solution to it.

Rather have them be expensive trash than expensive meta. Don’t need another cheese tactic like Bf110 or mortar

So you’d rather people waste their time and potentially money to buy something absolutely useless? That’s a cunt move and you know it.
