Laying a Minefield

It is not a cheesy tactic its just some basic spawnpoint defense

It’s not spawnpoint defense as you can put them anywhere you want. You wouldn’t be able to mine the enemy tank spawn, though, as it is out of bounds.

Price they pay for not using their brain to look things up beforehand. Is it a ā€œcunt moveā€ as well if people buy more starter weapons instead of late game guns? People buying into non-meta stuff is not my issue.

???
There is nothing aside from this thread here saying mines are a complete waste of time, tickets, and funds.

Mines are a waste of orders right now because theres pretty much no chance they will be run over. A single use minefield for engineers would be a nice addition for holding stuff. And seeing a large cluster of mines shouldnt be hard…

That’s a non sequitur. If people prefer starter weapons (which are completely viable) over late-game weapons, that’s their perogative. Both are completely usable. Mines aren’t useful in any way. Pilot’s suggestion works well, and clearly has more people in favour of it than against it.

I also think you should get off your damn high horse for a change. You’re not one of the devs.

I haven’t used AT mines yet but I’d assume they go off when a tank goes over them, not just their tracks. If they do go off when a tank goes over them then they’re fine as is.

I’ve yet to be killed by a single mine

OP didn’t specify single use. People will spam a bunch of these boxes and get 25 mines or something

Hmm let’s see.

Me and Eloros are against
Voyo and RGJ are pretty neutral
Only you, OP, Lego and _31 are in favor.

2 against, 2 neutral, 4 favor. 8 people in no way are a good metric to see whether an idea is very liked.

Lmao. Last time I checked there’s nothing wrong with stating an opinion.

Thats because most people are trying to get guns, medkits, and grenades before spending 3 orders on a weapon that gives one kill. Trust me, they’re not awful.

I have now learned the AT_mines go of even if the tank track doesnt touch them, in that case they would be a bit OP but that needs to also change, they arent electronic magic mines that detect the center of the tank. So they should only explode on track contact

Imagine the devs thought about this and decided to make them expensive purposefully to make them not spammable and less desirable as requested by dozens of players.

Making something expensive to prevent its usage isnt a good balancing tool at all, it just makes wallett warriors stronger

If that changes I’d be more likely to consider it, but currently one mine can shut down many major chokepoints. Mines are also invisible because they get covered when placed. Not really a counter to them.

Mines don’t even work, i checked with a friend…

they dont get covered, they sometimes float couple cm above the ground entirely

Wake up. These are former gaijin employees. They have been using repair cost in WT for years as a balance tool. ā€œCan’t use something OP if you can’t afford to play it. Solved.ā€ - devs

Not saying I like it, but it’s reality.

Infantry mines worked when I used them.

Infantry mines got covered for me

Well anti tank ones don’t ):

Infantry mines do work differently, got decent radius proximity fuse too, while tanks need to go over the AT mine.
