Lack of an end game

I know some people will go on equipping every squad with max fabulous weapons, replacing soldiers with only max stat ones, etc… but for me the end of the tech tree means the end of the actually interesting bit of the game.

I’ve fought all the maps umpteen times so there’s no interesting new tactical problems to solve, the (very) occasional new map or 20k/2 days task isn’t all that exciting, so it feels like I’m at the end of the game.

Which kind of sucks but is inevitable when the game is about grinding a tech tree and little or nothing has gone into making it an interesting wargame :frowning:

Go play Big Action Custom, as for end game, max out all you weapons, planes and ensure you have presets for 2345, fully equipped, then you can pick and chose what you or your friends want to play.

That was exactly the stuff I said I’m not particularly interested in doing.

drip is the endgame

Yeah I notice the same thing.
I have most things I want unlocked, just dotting the i’s now.
Not much desire to play anymore when there is no event.

Not every game need imaginary end game, this is not a mmorpg this is a shooter game you shoot and kill enemies, cap objectives, win and that’s all you need if you stop having fun then take a break or quit no need to force yourself to enjoy it. We don’t need raids, crafting and borderlands weapon drops leave them all to the other games.

Even after 10 years of new content you would still complain that there are “no endgame” because you grinded everything up to the end of the cold war.

If you like grinding so much maybe get a job at the mining factory or something:

Is every squad in every faction maxed? That’s my end goal

Making a lot of assumptions here

Be nice if you had some evidence to support that rather than starting with an ad hom - that is usually the final argument from someone who has no actual argument… oh… wait…

I’ve played a lot of games that have no particular end other than “to win this particular game” and that were really good because they had good gameplay.

What is it that Enlisted has apart from the grind? Which IMO is a reasonable objective in and of itself is that’s your thing - and I enjoyed the grind for a long time too.

But what now?

Indeed - playing to achieve an event is also something that is reasonable, and I’m doing it now… but once I have my 20k points for hte 2 days that’s it - nothing else worth playing for.

I suspect there’s a finite number of obscure and/or “cool” weapons that they can add…

i think problem is in you and people who think that grind is game content. grind is not content, it is just artificial barrier to frustrate people into spending money on the game.

if game is worth playing it should be worth playing with or without grind.

Since the vast majority of games aren’t competitive, I really only play now till my daily objectives are met, then I’m done. Since there is no battle competitiveness, I have more fun building and rebuilding squads then I have playing with them. So, when my premium runs out and I am back to only what, three objectives again I won’t be playing much anymore since I don’t plan on renewing my premium account, at least until the gaming improves.

See I play space marine 1 yesterday and man the only “grind” is lvl and that it, no daily or anything I actually have a lot of fun even tho I got beat real bad there

Just go play custom game or play br 3 and 4

Well, the main gameplay of enlisted is grind. If you don’t want to minmax what you already have, imo you have 5 options:

  1. Grind exp to instantly unlock next additions to the tech tree

  2. Try to enjoy the gameplay itself, though I agree it’s kind of hard as it’s very shllow and can get boring quite fast

  3. This one may sound like a joke but for ppl from poorer countries, this may be an actually good idea.
New soldier class is teased so you can prepare yourself for it. It will be premium only for at least some time, maybe for ever. So you can “grind” enlisted irl and do overhours in your job to have spare monney to afford those new premium squads (as prices are stupid high for ppl from poorer countries).

  4. Take a break from enlisted and play something else

  5. Try to find some challenges. Play unpopular factions with poor gear and stuff like this.

yea the price for a squad can cost almost the same as space marine 1 kinda ridiculous ngl (at least in my country)

Well if you only play to unlock new stuff than yeah the game runs out and would be nice if the devs add something on top as extra to do.

But if anything you can allways play to improve on your skills and try to win the games you get dropped into.

Why do people say this?
I’ve had the tech tree finished for like a year, I still play all the time for fun

The issue is, with abysmal matchmaking and faction dogpiling, fun is getting hard to find. Especially with another idiotic event that made everyone and their mother and their grandma and their grandpa and their dog and the damn fleas on their dog all play germany.

This game feels like advanced level of torture with severely imbalanced teams.
It’s the best and the most fun shooter I’ve ever played when you get two roughly equal and decent teams

For me it’s true.
The gameplay is basically: spawn, build rally, rush the point, die, repeat.
When I got interested in the game 3-4y ago, I expected something more than CoD with vehicles. (Based on the promo material.)

Actually thats what i like the most about this game, that it has a different feel from the generic shooters like CoD which i have been playing for 20+ years now.

Its that casual run in sweep the point , or spam some Bolt Action gun mid-range gameplay, not the sweaty tryhard CoD style.
