The L3/33 tankette was historically the most important and widely produced tank in the North African campaign. It is only fair that it would be added to Enlisted, It could even have different variations like in real life. I know this is not a new suggestion, but I just thought I could add to the conversation. I think that it would be really cool to have a very light essentially anti-infantry only tank to the game, It could really add to the experience.
lmao, name checks out at least.
I would love to see the L3 in game, though idk if I would call it the most important or the most widely produced “tank” of the North African Campaign. Regardless yes, it would be cool to see, however unless it was given to the rider class, I dont see it being anything except a gimmick vehicle.
What you could do is add the flamethrower version as a tech tree flame tank for the germans.
Dunno if it was important but it must be introduced.
It could be cool but it would probably need a separate slot instead of the “Tank” slot, as it would be a detriment to take this thing over even a proper light tank.
SPAA, Scout Cars, and Tankettes could get a combined slot separate from the “Tank” slot.
Given how useless a pure MG or 20mm version would be It should probably be the flamethrower version as any of the othere versions might struggle to much to compete with the othere options already available in the TT.
Not with 10 players and four free slots, these ideas could be interesting if one day the number of players per team increases to 20 and more slots are given.
pssssss
Dude
This is the choicest feces
Hasta la pasta!
Crocodilo bombardiro
It was in fact the most widely produced (In Italy at least), however it is debatable whether or not it was the most important, also, the rider class is for motorcycles and the L3 is a tankette.
Very much indeed, The L3 was very Italian and I would not be surprised to see someone eating pasta inside of one.
This is true, I am literally taller than the L3 and I’m not even tall, so it would be great to see a seperate class for it.
It’s just not a necessary technique.
it’s easier to ask for sdkfz 222
I think given how fast it must be it should be pretty effective against enemy infantry, It could dodge explosion packs and gun down hordes of enemy infantry. The 20mm version could sneak behind other tanks and hit them in their weak spot which it would have no trouble doing given how fast it is. Not to mention It would be an early game tank so i doubt something like an AB-41 could top it.
I would have asked for a flamethrower then
At least something like usefulness
I would struggle to call a tankette, a tank, personally at least.
As for the rider class, its a long debated issue on the forums that there should be a rider 2 squad with access to Armoured Cars or maybe even tankettes in this case.
For production numbers, a lot were produced across the variants, if you only count Italy, you are right, however its production numbers are dwarfed by every other nation that fought in North Africa, for example, the Daimler armour car alone had more, the likes of the crusader or the pz3 has well over double.
As for importance, honestly I cant find any info to suggest it was an important vehicle. It was an outdated design at birth frankly.
Regardless of all that, I would love to see it in game, I think a flame variant would work well in the tech tree for a tank squad.
Do none of you play war thunder?
The pure meme potential of this tank is crazy.
At the very least let us get this in the event, I remember the soviets had a PTRS bike in the editor too, equally innefective but funny as hell.
Also, its 20mm. Literally all the starting BR1 tanks have 20mms. Its not going to be that bad.
In war thunder that’s much different, the tanks that the L3 fights can be fairly easily penned, but in enlisted tanks are pretty resistant to that even at BR1.I agree with the meme factor and that it should be added, but at the same time the 20mms starter tanks get are already are terrible, this one is just a steyr-solothurn in a box, it’d probably be awful unfortunately. I’d still like to see it though, along with the flamethrower and 12.7mm versions, those might be more suited for Enlisted.
Only because it is laughably bad
Nope
