I guess so, it isn’t great, but at least it makes up for poor penetration by being able to shoot at planes and has a much higher volume of fire than 20mms, especially the Steyr-Solothurn, so anti infantry capabilities are much better at least.

There is a field modified version that is always ignored in this discussion but I think would add value to enlisted.

The L3/35 with Twin MGs and a Light mortar on a roof mount.

It would be great at anti-infantry role, able to gun down troops and retreat to a firing position to provide motar fire.

I think it would be a menace IF they fix the reload times on Italian tank MGs

I mean a MG armed tankette seems fine to me for a Rider 2 Squad, since a MG armed Tankette is about on par with most other armour cars.

Yes but when I think of Rider I think of Fast moving, light, un-armored, riding on top, not inside. Thats why I think Jeeps with MGs are a better choice to expand the rider class.

The L3 is a Tank(ette). Meaning its relatively heavy and slow for what the riders are supposed to do. You know, flanking and ambushing.

the L3 was no slouch when it comes to speed, I mean ofc not as fast as a bike or etc, but the all terrain ability makes up for that by a mile.

I always envisioned the rider squads as recon personally, armoured or otherwise.

You just made a light bulb go off in my head. You know how people have been wanting the ability to 3D spot in this game(Battlefield style)? This would be a perfect way to make riders more viable. If they had the ability to spot and track enemies for the rest of the team that would do CRAZY numbers onnthe enemy. They would go from being a meme to being meta if not THE meta.
