Considering how the KV-1 can be a menance at BR 3, I think this more than belongs in BR 4, acting in effect like an uparmoured T-34-85.
Apart from that, would love to see it in game, though and I want to rant yet again about it. BR 4 will continue to be a dead tier until BR 5 is made its own separate thing.
yeah i would say it cound be in tier 4 but people keep saying kv1joke is good tank on tier four because of good armor(this is pure lie XD since tiger h1 and panther exists) , then i decide to put it on 3 , i mean the turret cheeks already is the weak point and the hull armor didnt got improved , if theres some one thinks it should be in tier four then they have serious problem to not know how to use marder tanks and pz4 properly , i mean in my gameplays they use the pz4 like heavy tanks, and they say its a bad tank , pz4 is soo underestimated in my opinion , it can face tier 3 4 and 5 tanks against soviets , the pen is good just good , you just need to use it well and train more , if you dont do that you will gain nothing
KV-85 at BR 4 would be okay. SU-85 and IS-1 should be BR 4 too
but BR 3, I think not.

KV-85 is extremely similar to T-34/85 performance wise. I can’t comprehend how anyone can think it’s a good idea to make it BR3.
They could introduce the KV 85 to BR4 and reduce the BR of the KV-1 ZiS to BR3, I’m just saying as an option
With Enlisted only having 5 BRS, This was an odd choice to add IMO. Its like a BR 3.5
Only when they stop putting br 1-2 against br 3. Uparmored kv 1 with even better cannon should not face panzer 3s

I guess having the PPSH-41 stick mag with god tier dispersion, the KV-1, and the SVT-38 arent enough for BR3 soviets
I think in current meta it should swap places with KV-1 ZiS-5 BR4, and move that one to BR3 . The lightly improved ammo/gun on ZiS is nothing to write home about , esp with KV-2 now in the tree. 85mm from the OP and Su-85 both belong in BR4.

KV-1 zis5 has excellent armour rivaled only by the M4A3E2 Jumbo, Panther G and Tiger I H1 on BR4, Japan doesnt even have a tank this armoured on BR4, only on BR5.
The problem is in Enlisted soviet won’t fight US, they only fight german who got 137+ pen at BRIII.
While BRIII T-34 only got 87 pen, which can’t do anything to tiger.
USSR will fight Japan if the rumors are true.

MM isnt 0/+ so these BR3 will face BR2 tanks as well and no BR2 tank can reliably penetrate a KV-1 zis5, the KV-1 L-11 is also way too well armoured for BR3 but soviets will cry that their tanks are still bad somehow.
I will friendly remind you that even the BR1 A13 and BT-7 can frontally penetrate a BR3 Panzer IV F2.
Soviets got nothing to complain about with their BR1-4 tanks.
The Pz 4 J can be annoying for BR1 tanks but thats about it, and even them, its fine as the soviets as their APHE one shots it.
The only “problematic” lower BR german tank I think is the Pz3N, that should get its late war shell and be moved up to BR3, the germans still have a great HE spammer even then with the Pz4 E, but atm the E is behind the N despite it being a flat downgrade from the N.
Unless they use the one with 145mm of pen instead…
