This game’s squad configurations aren’t 200% realistic but I feel they work for this game. However I’ve always felt Assault felt a little weird. 4 Assaulters in a squad. 4 Assaulters just seems a little awkward. I think 5 is much more proper amount. The Assault’s cousins Medic and Guerilla have 5. So at the very least it should be increased to 5.
The Assault squad represents stormtroopers like the Soviet’s SMG platoons or Germany’s Volksgrenadiers all armed with automatic weapons. We’re certainly not going to get Assault squads with 10 soldiers. But at the very least their total can be increased just by one little 1
In regular Assault squads it would be an upgrade. Technically certain premium/ event squads don’t need an extra Assaulter since their Engineer also have their titular assault weapons; though another true Assaulter couldn’t hurt.
However older legacy Assault squads that only have just 4 Assaulters, ex MP 18 squad, do need a 5th Assaulter
sniper squad should receive 1 less sniper and they can be replaced with another specialty. the sniper squad can be a jack of all trades type of deal maybe even having a guerrilla.
sure five assaulters if you just have five assaulters, having five assaulters as a squad of seven is too much you would then need 11 riflemen, or give the rifle squad another specialist…
The Medic Squad should receive an Engineer, the medic box should be removed from the medic and given as something the Engineer in the medic squad can build, the medical bag should be placed in the secondary weapon slot of the medic and medics should be able to bring either grenade pouches or ammo bags.
Flame Troopers should be able to have grenade pouches or ammo bags as well.
EDIT : I completely forgot that the Radio does not take up the 2nd weapon slot for Radio Operators, it takes up the back pack/grenade pouch/ammo bag slot, so I have edited this post
I base most of my squads off assaulters and it would be nice to have five, or DF should give you the option of a medic as that would give you that fifth assaulter. The TT assaulter squads that give that option I always add the medic
personally i do not see the necessity nor the need for a 5th assaulter considering that you can already have a medic as sobstitute if you want more daka.
Not even close to being true. They are never useless they with their ARs are extremely accurate and still deal great damage always killing in 1-2 hits (depending on a gun), while SF really struggles with dispersion and recoil. If anything it’s was MG squad that made Assaulters weaker (RD-44, Stinger and MG42 100) not any of your squads. Nobody is using “bombers” or “radioman” squads in high BR.
SF are stil more accurate, deal higher damage across range and sometimes even shoot faster. And apart from the FG42s, they have bayonets. On the other side, only TT ASS44 has bayonet.
The only limit is their magazine size.
Gunner only has three members and apart from Rd44 and to some extend BARs, suffer from penalties and have awful accuracy and deals less damage, only saved by their high ammo count. And Stinger is Event.
Let’s try continuously shooting at the enemy with your SF and then compare it to the AR or even better RD-44, AS-44/STG44 and RD-44 would win every time as they will hit the target most of the time while SF going to miss a lot of shots due dispersion and bad recoil.
Free squads yes but but premium can have 5x MGs and also use RD-44 as their secondary. Just because stinger is even doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Some players already have 4 of them and can easily equip entire premium T24 with them as their secondary weapon.
