Jumbo and m4a2

I was thinking today who did have the idea to put 2 almost identical tanks in the same campaign?, when the American arsenal is well equipped with a high variety of tanks.

same could be said about the 4J and the 4H, but m4a2 should get m61 APHE to set it apart from jumbo

Not in mid 1944, and especially not for medium tanks.

almost identical? According to this standard Tiger II P and Tiger II H are also two almost identical tanks, lol

Have you looked at Moscow tanks? For germans “mmmh let’s add an obsolete pz3. Oh next one will be a pz3! But then to make different let’s put a pz4… then, another pz3!!! oh for the next update let’s be different… and add the exact same pz4 with SLIGHTLY more (but still ineffective) armour. Mmmh… Let’s do the same for Russians with a recycled t28!” (Proceeds to chug vodka)

I don’t even get the point of the new PZ4 for Moscow. 45mm shells will still penetrate its frontal armour.

As well as the Jumbo. They wanna set it apart they can give the Jumbo a 76mm and remove the useless M10.

Well, they are. lol

Jumbo that makes tanks below panther useless but dose no damage to panther.
m4a2 that can damage panther but makes tanks below panther useful again expect puma.

“Useless”.
Can pen the mantlet and the mg port while other US tanks cant.

Skill…

here’s the thing, jumbo has already something good about it that doesn’t warrant m61, m4a2 on the other hand doesn’t

You have limited anti-infantry capability and mediocre at best surivability against aircraft cannon fire, good luck penning the MG port before you get killed, having to aim for weakspots severely limits your ability to win tank on tank engagements as it takes longer to lay the gun on target and get a shot out, that’s why I hate the Jumbo and Panther.

When is the Pz IV vs jumbo is a balance problem

M10 vs panther is just git gud i guess

It just how it work i guess

I believe it is more about answering in the same maner that Jumbo defenders answered all claims about it being unbalanced some Time ago.
All you could get was “just flank it”, “L2P”, “shoot the MG port”. It was obvious that when the tide turns with the introduction of Panther that Panther defenders will do the same thing.

Both of those situations shouldn’t happen obviously nad both are the worst example of powercreep in Enlisted.

then you remember that jumbo was never good at taking out other tanks thanks to AP that never shrapnel, but agreed that powercreep will be an issue

Well. The same could be said about the Jumbo. Yes, it has a machine gun, but its a slow ass rock and literally a charge-magnet (which is why I prefer the M4A2/ Firefly combo).
Which is maybe which Yankees camp with it.

actually jumbo isn’t bad at anti infantry due it’s gun, which is what kaliban is referring too. probably

My point was rather its lack of mobility.
Imo the M4A2 is better there due to having the same gun but being faster and more agile than the Jumbo.

Still get one shotted by every thing apart the pzIII and puma.

and in wt maybe speed and maneuverability could save you but in enlisted 90% of tank engagement happen from static position , if it have at least apcbc it would have something really better and more useful Compared to the jumbo

Depends where the Germans hit you though. You can OHK anything with basically anything if you onehit ammo.

Unless you stop camping and actually start helping your inf or flank.

You really have no clue what you’re talking about, do you? lmao. The M10 is a Scott with a better junk. Doesn’t translate to much when even an MP40 can spell its doom. Compared to a Panther, useless is an understatement.

‘Not dying’ does not equate to ‘something good’. Just because people are brainless and don’t know where to shoot a Jumbo when it can be easily killed by a Panzer IV doesn’t make it ‘good enough’. I killed more Jumbos than I care to count because for some reason they’re more common and I’m far from getting the Panther in Normandy.

Yes I was an avid WT player so I came here with the necessary knowledge to deal with what I find as an anemic version of WT’s Jumbo but I mean, even the clunky cross that indicates where to penetrate works well enough so it can give people the idea where to shoot the Jumbo.

Both the Jumbo and Panther were an idiotic addition to put it mildly, but at least if we’re gonna have two highly powerful tanks in a primarily infantry-based game, at least make them a tiny bit equal.
