Japanese Teams

I was excited to try out the Pacific theatre as the Japanese.

Well, turns out it’s not that fun.

We can talk about the imbalance of weapons all day - S1-100 or Type 100 SMGs vs Thompsons, M13s and whatnot… the devs decided to give the US late war equipment I think (edit: I was wrong, but you know what I mean)

But even then there were times when I’ve won matches just fine. The problem is: why do most Japanese teams give absolutely no attention to the objective?

Almost every single time I’ve played as the Japanese my team didn’t bother going to the cap point to defend it. Is literally everybody new playing on the Japanese side or something? It’s not nice, losing too much is frustrating.

only late war equipment for US is the grease gun iirc

The LVT is also not mid-war, at least it didnt saw usage in Canal.

Well. to be fair, most Jap stuff is also late war and/ or experimental.

Because half trucks usually tear apart anything that is on capture point xd
And I want to get at least 2 kills per sordier so Iam gonna flank assaulters, not just sit and wait for death (especially when I use smg squad so quite often);]
Bad thing is that in Pacyfic capturing is really quick, you may not be able to go back on time and decap. Thats is true problem.

mostly talking about TT since type 1, ka-chi, and LVT aren’t mid war

The more I play, the more I tell to myself “Ok, gun aren’t ballance. But some guys are just as good as bots, stop complaining”

Just kidding, I just wanted an excuse to post the screenshot.

The Ka-Chi is hopeless, for such a big tank, it can’t well defend itself (or more).

The lack of a machine gun is awful, but okay, it’s historical and I can live with this. The worst part, is the fact that it’s so difficult to move because you can’t stick your head out as the commander and see why your battleship-on-tracks is stuck.
I reaaaaally want that to change.

Pacific is nice and all, but I can’t fathom how anybody can prefer it over Stalingrad.

i do agree that the ka-chi should allow the commander to poke his head out because it saves the need for the MG that is blocked off by the pontoons as the commander can use his smgs instead

We all know that they’re in fact bots…everyone switched to “better equiped side”

Come on, tell them how balanced this campaign is or i will copy paste your responses…

Well you know…history repeats itself and after people found out how outgunned are Japanese compared to USA (excluding Ka-Chi premium pimpwagon) they switched…
The sad reality is that most of Axis squads are controlled by AI, in some cases you are still able to find smth like 4 vs 6 or 5 vs 6 (and rest bots).
Even if you see generals or marshals in scoreboard, some of them are just bots…I need to confirm it, but i have seen in some cases that AI can probably control also tanks if they are not taken for long time periods…
It’s shame, it’s bad, it’s frustrating and it’s sad…
Nothing changed i guess, still the best experience i’m having is in Berlin Campaign, on both sides.

i’ve told you that i don’t play test any future builds, nor do i have contact with any of the devs

I just find it funny that you believe it’s only the Japanese team that doesn’t care about objectives… :stuck_out_tongue:

its as i said that the pacific wont offer much to the game and instead drag it down

That no.1 player at the enemy team there.

If American team is incompetent or Japanese team is competent enough despite the handicaps in equipment, Japan can still win.

same thing that happens in other campaigns.

some people are just bad.

and i guess they have all rights to be.

it’s not like your life depend on winning or loosing. all you have to do, is do your best to get the best ammount of xps that you can in that match.

and if it doesnt’ work because you will throw the fun factor in ( which more or less is justified ) you can always hop on some discord and find people there to play with.

more people = more cooperation = more chances of winning.

if that’s what you want to hear.

I don’t but they’re the worst at it :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I know, the XP boost for winning is something that you can really miss though…

I’ve farmed the Moscow campaign, it was pretty good. Most of the time the teams try to do the objective and it makes for fun gameplay even if you end up losing. But playing as the Japanese in the Pacific theatre is another story. I accept losing but not when the issue is carelessness all the time.
