Hi,
i noticed with the Japanese tanks that with 3 crew members, either the commander or gunner position remains empty. The machine gunner is not important and nobody uses him.
Please change this! Thanks!

The same Problem with 4 Crewmembers. The loader position is empty.
it’s not a bug, just that for jap tanks the MG is more important since it’s the only way you have to defend yourself from infantry, while for all tanks the loader is an important tool to keep the RPM of the main cannon up so the commander replaces them as he isn’t considered as important
For some reason the hull mg gunner is more important than the commander in the tank even though you cant use the mg and main gun at the same time without the commander.
As an idea for a fix i propose the following:
As the who is more important question might be subjectiv I would suggest adding the option to manualy assign slot priority from most to least.
For example: Driver is set 1 gunner to 2 commander or loader depending on choice is 3 and 4 and mg should just be number 5 meaning if number 2 is killed the lowest priority should take its place. This would enhance the squad customisation greatly and maybe someone even prefers using the mg over the main gun or the loader.
If you want to keep the new player experiance a bit more clean then pls add it as an toggle in the options off by default.
In Enlisted, the radio operator/machine gunner is just a decoration.
And why is it only on the Japanese tanks?
In the other campaigns this works fine.
For other tanks yes, but for jap tanks they are needed since the Japanese didn’t really think co-axials were a good idea
Say who?
Because jap tank dont have coaxial machinegun only hull one
Says the Japanese. Go to the Hangar, turn on X-Ray for the Japanese tanks, and the only tanks with a coax should the the Ke Ni and the Ka Mi. That is how the tanks were built IRL.
The japanes tanks have funtioning hull mg that can be player controlled to make up for the lack of co-axials but given how limited it is on most tanks most ppl just ignore it. So there is a reason why the mg has priority but most ppl just ignore mg and then its just a burden for the tank.
Because the dev think it is a good idea to let Japan tank machine gun work independently lol. In reality it suck since you need to constantly switch between main gun and machine gun for tank like ha go.
you are aware that you playing models of real tanks, yes?
if you have problem with construction, confront it ww2 japanise engineers
there will be no any changes in f mg hull position xd
We are trying to be ww2 historical accurate dont you know???
Personally I think they need to let you override this as like the example of the Japanese tanks, the main cannon is terrible and only useful against other tanks and some fortifications, both of which can be fried in one or two shells
Hull MG working on all tank when?
This is real tank from ww2:
this is not:
I had that in mind. But, yes hull mgs are needed for long time.
My point is that Schmei55er looked like he had pretension to tank that it doesnt have coaxial machinegun instead of hull one. But we cant just shift whole construction insides, even if its just a game lol.
cant wait for polish compaign then xd
Dear god.
What is that.
