Japanese SMGs That are not yet in the game 🇯🇵

SMGs

Since i have covered the LMGs in my previous topic here i will stop on SMGs for Japan that can be added:

1. Tokyo Arsenal box mag:

Well for this the box magazine its possible to be only 18 or 20 bullets so it can be starting SMG for Japan similar to other factions having starting smgs with 20 rounds.

2. Type 3 ,Type 3 A, Type 3 B:

Type 3

Type 3 B

-Type 3:

The atmosphere is similar to the Czech ZK-383, but the structure is completely different. It’s just that they look and feel.

At first, it had long stays in consideration of the effect of the bayonet.

-Type 3 A:

The long stays remain intact, but the front sight has been moved to the tip.

-Type 3 B:

The stays for the bayonet were shortened.
According to the same book, this type B was delivered in Showa 15 and was made a quasi-standard as 100 type in Showa 16.

3.1934 Model 2A (Type 2 first prototype) Use of the prototype Type 95 cartridge ( smaller version of 6.5 mm so-called Kurtz bullet specification that shortened the Type 38 rifle bullet) :

And now the real one for comparison:

The weight of the gun 3,000g or less without the mag which is 1,000g more then the existing one we have in game and as you can see its bigger gun.

If you are interested in the books:

-Introduction to Rifles, Pistols, and Machine Guns: A Thorough Study of Small Arms in Japan (Kojinsha NF Bunko)

-Mr. Kunimoto August 1976 issue of Gun magazine.

4.There is also the question for SIG 1930:
1930 Model 2
SIG MKMO 1930

Sadly i don’t own the book Jowett, Philip S. (2004). Rays of the Rising Sun: Armed Forces of Japan’s Asian Allies 1931-45: Volume 1: China and Manchukuo . Helion & Company Limited. and if some one can check page 56 about this gun will be interesting.

There is indeed confusion with the magazines, purely in theory one could assume that there were different magazines, but in fact I am only sure of the 18-round magazine from the Tokyo Arsenal submachine gun of 1928. There is an illustration in one of Jiro Sayama’s books, the caption to the picture says that both submachine guns can use an 18-round magazine.

Excerpt from the book:

And also pay attention to the unusual shape of the magazine on top and also the patent of the Tokyo Arsenal submachine gun of 1928 where the magazine is at an angle.

In general, I think on the Tokyo Arsenal 1927 submachine gun it should look something like this:

Thank you that’s what I needed Tokyo Arsenal 1927 submachine gun will be perfect starting SMG for Japan. There is also the 20 round Beretta that they used that I didn’t cover and this one:

In fact, you can always take advice from me, and not only on Japanese weapons, but also living in Russia, I know Russian weapons well. But the main problem is that the developers are very reluctant to listen to the topics on the forum, although some topics about small arms have unique material.

You might want to take a closer look at the firearm, this is not a Beretta, but a trophy of a Chinese copy of the MP18/I submachine gun with a bottom magazine.
