Well I’m gonna make this small topic since Japan needs a LMG rework. Japan can be very interesting LMG faction having good options for LMGs but sadly this potential is not explored fully at the moment. So here I’m not gonna open the topic for the optics just the topic of lmgs that must be added and some put in different BRs where they would make more sense. So here a quick list of changes that will improve the Japanese LMG armaments :
Well Type 96 is very iconic LMG but at BR III simply it cant shine it will be outshined by type 99 and other amazing LMGs and it has weaker cartridge so we better move it to BR II since the damage and the rate are fire are really BR II no point staying in BR III.
2. Type 91 LMG 45 Rounds BR III:
Well this one will be nice addition to BR III since Japan don’t have high ammo mag LMG at this BR and the scope will make it very unique gun.
So US and GE have this magical belt fed machine guns and Japan for some reason can’t have Type 99 with the same option … where is the logic Japan lacks BR V equipment and i think Type 99 with same magical 90 bullets like GE and US will be nice addition of a iconic weapon then some Aircraft lmg.
And at some point will be nice to decide about scoped Type 99 with 30 round mag will it be sniper equipment or LMG class equipment.
On the contrary, the Type 96’s low recoil and moderate RPM make it a more suitable MG for beginners than the Type 99.
I have some soldiers who specialize in Type 96 so no need for recoil perks, and focus on reload speed and nades range.
It’s like a no recoil bren which makes you run faster than normal bren user.
Type 99 is much better then type 96 cuz with type 99 you can do same thing like type 96 but also go capture points but yes its takes more skill and trigger control then type 96 its the only LMG with 11 damage the rest have 12 GE has ZB at BR II how the Type 96 is better then the ZB
Not to mention the allies have better smgs Japan should have better lmgs at BR II. And at BR III why would you pick Type 96 when you have SIG KE 7 at the same BR that is literally better at everything …at least type 99 has rate of fire…
No Japan started to drown in early BRs for the lack of good gun options since the allies have Lanchester and Owen MK 1 and a lot of good premium and event squads with amazing smgs while Japan dont have this same way US have P-38… that you can equip 2 of them and you will dominate the entire match so Japan needs better lmgs since we cant have better smgs and a lot more planes.
At the moment Allies at BR I and II have better SMGs , better Tanks ,better Planes and the Bren is better then Type 11.
So type 96 really should be BR II in BR III service no purpose this setup of Japanese LMGs will make the faction interesting at then end of the day you need to fight someone.
So Lanchester 6.8 32 2.3 690 12 4 0.71 15 1.6 0.8 is better
With US you have shotguns smgs a lot of options with Japan you don’t so 1 more lmg will be nice diversity.
Really xD M3 Lee > Ho-I also A.C.I and Matilda ,M24 , M8A1 GMC and not gonna start with BR III when you have Shermans so imagine if there is no Ho-I vs the Sherman… Or Churchill III have you fought it with BR II equipment xD (spoiler the BR III options are also trash)
See we need better faction equipment for Japan cuz we have fewer SMG options so we better have more lmgs options type 96 wont be the best BR II LMG even at BR II and at BR III is not the best
Really thats why its full of P-38G spam … No japan is drwoning in BR II and need type 96 and much more planes ASAP or you wont be having players even now you can see whats going on on lower BRs so before we drown again we better change something.
