I swear over half the team was AI. Aside from 2 known console players, and maybe the battle heroes (still don’t know, again wish there was a way to differentiate who was who), no other human players were present. And it showed. When compared to other team, my score was significantly higher than the score of 2nd place.
Japan is a very unhealthy faction at the moment, and if it continues, Japan may just be bot lobbies from now on. I don’t know what caused it, but one thing’s for certain - I hate the 100% lose rate.
To determine if a player is a bot or not, I search for their username in what I think is a section called new friends.

Yeah, AI players should have AI in their name somewhere, or a symbol that implies AI, but I think we are going to be encountering more and more AI players as we go into the future. My guess is the Japanese faction probably has less players then the other three, with maybe the Allies just above them as it seems like most people like to play Soviets or Germans. When I play Allies, I either get a lot of AI team mates, or just the bottom of the barrel team mates.
From what I’ve seen (due to the “variety” of any faction) this is how the player base is, player count from lowest to highest:

I got my first Allies match today and it was a stomp, because no one plays anything other than the Allies anymore. Mind you, it was my first Allies match in a month.
Well depending on how soon someone deserts they either get replaced with AI or a real player. Generally if someone deserts after a few minuets into the match they get replaced by AI. Not always though, I have been thrown into matches where there was only 1 objective left to defend, so I assume a late spawn match unless the team I was thrown into was just getting steam rolled that fast.
You aren’t wrong in believing that Japan has few players…because its true. Japan has the smallest playerbase. But in this case you did start with almost a full team. 3 of the people that deserted were console players, maybe they were in a stack and all left at once.
Personally its hard for me to look at the scoreboard and always be able to tell who is AI…since there are many many real players that actually play like AI…or worse.
I was messaging the team and I had no responses. I literally had to spam the “make rally point” button for 2 rallies to appear right at the end. I think that says most of the team was AI.
Actually no. I am grinding up to BR IV in all factions. I consider myself a Veteran (not as long as other veterans, but I’ve been playing since the free release on Steam). But yes, the past couple of weeks are the first times I’ve encountered such low players in a match.
Well players 1(you), 2, 3, 5, and 8 are for sure real people.
Players 6, 9, and 10 I assume are AI, since they have very low kill counts but they did build rallies. AI does build rallies at times. (One of them has a vehicle kill but AI can take out vehicles too sometimes)
Players 4 and 7 though IDK, its harder for me to tell (I don’t think AI usually gets that many kills in a match but maybe).
I think 4 definitely is a real person. His username is too random to be computer generated. 7 could also be a person. Regardless, it still totals out to about half the team being AI (not good).
I have the lowest win loss percentage playing Allies. I hardly every win level two, and mostly play level three or level five with Allies. I only have a 54% winning percentage in about 1,950 Allied matches, and in over 2,000 matches playing Germans almost 72%. Japanese 71% in 150 ganes and 63% in about 715 games with the Soviets.
When I choose a game, I get one quick if I choose to play Germans or Soviets, it takes longer if I choose Allies and twice as long on average if I choose Japanese.
Only 54%? I consider that pretty respectable. Anything above 60% is pretty impressive, and anything higher than 70 or 80% is exceptional. My Allies previously were only on 44.5%.
These are my stats for all nations. Surprisingly, Soviets are the second worst for win rate, but I think that’ll change soon with the constant bot matches for Japan.
I also have the lowest win rate with them.(And don’t mind to the K/D ratio, I don’t care about the lives of bots.)
They always lose in BR2, in BR5 the battles are breathtaking. In BR3 they can only play fairly.
