Will the dev team make updates without a lot of teaser documentation?
To update for a new currency system, a new exchange rate, a new buy/sell price, or something else that damages player assets?
Is this a deliberate attempt to create panic? Is it forcing players to do emergency spending, shopping or selling?
Please clearly list and show the specifics of the database files that will be updated for server downtime.

I do still think we are gonna get pretty decent update. I just don’t understand why they’re so quiet about it.

Lol, what conspiracy theory is this? Maybe they are just doing some version upgrade or maintenance, you are the one who are creating panic.
Lol, I don’t think any game company will do such thing. Why will they release their internal information to the public?

100% with you, It’s pathetic how they’re handling everything regarding the update, very low info, no real date of update… idk this is so strange, maybe they are not prepare, they release broken update…

Without updated information, what is DF hiding.
It is recommended that every time you go to the doctor, the doctor requires you to sign a “critical illness (terminal) notice” before he or she will see you, even if you are perfectly healthy, without charging you.
You don’t even know that DF updating the database multiple times (e.g. ui: *.jpeg or jpg to *.avif， or DF creates new project folders or reclassifies files) is a hot update, not downtime for maintenance!
I doubt its coming at this point
Probably some time this decade though
Maybe we’ve just riled ourselves up in anticipation and taking any word of news as “THIS IS IT”

it does make players overly sensitive at this stage. Especially since DF is not working openly and transparently.
In some past events, players were full of good hope, but the DF lack may not be omniscient.

Your safest bet is to hold on to your hard earned cash, and wait for the new game to be released (the big update). Nobody even knows what’s going to happen, and it’s baffling how anyone could feel inclined to spend money on a game that’s loaded with mechanical bugs, broken matchmaking, and has the possibility of completely self-destructing after the new BR system and campaign merging is implemented.
