As you can see, at any angle different than 90°, maximum penetration decreases. This means that, in order to resist a 180mm@90° shell, it is enough to reach an angle at which the increased LOS thickness exceeds the decreasing max pen.

They where used in Berlin and liked by the Infantry during the urban fighting. If you want a more fair match up this thing seems an obvious choice. Maybe it´s a bit skewed to the Axis side but the T34-85 overcompensates for that.

Well Axis don´t have a much better time with those Panzer IV J either. I mean the 85mm can reliably punch through any german tank easily from the front and has high OHK potential. It would make it fair in a sense that both factions have equally bad tanks until the second one.
i dont think it can even shoot above the wreck of t34 and tigers, i think its too short for that.
Could be an advantage too since it can retreat from an engagemeant by just driving behind one of the dozens of wrecks.

it can be killed by explosive, small arms fire, fire it also cant use the majorty of the usual protetected spot bc its too short yeah sure.
i prefer having a 76mm gun buildable than having an open top armored car with a “big” gun.

Ok then wait until you get the T34-85. Had to do the same thing for Axis with the Panther. Allies already have the better SMGs in a CQB campaign. I don´t think the Allies need a tank that can take on every Axis tank head on from the beginning and have a reasonable chance of winning.

I play both factions equally. T-34 is indeed better than Pz IV but not nearly as much as Pz IV would be better than SU-76.
