Is T-3485 too OP as a starter tank?

My final point is that the Panther should be MUCH better at killing tanks than the Tiger or the T34.

However the facts tell something different

IKR? Since Woody has been banned, there’s an imbalance in the Force towards the opposite side.

Fighting Tigers with the T-34-85 especially at long range is more about who lands the good shot first.

At times I get to see noob tankers struggle fighting against Panthers and Tigers with the starter T-34-85 to the point that I have to deal with them myself through my tank or panzerfaust. It does require more skill to fight Panthers where a T-34 tanker needs to learn how to aim for the weakspots.

Unfortunately many noob T-34 drivers don’t know how to aim even worse when they don’t have experience from War Thunder. Even Tigers they struggle to fight thus had to take care of them myself at times. More experienced T-34 tankers are more dangerous to German tankers than a noob one.

there is no bloody Panther weakspot, hit the turret and it goes boom, the Tiger turret is better armored, which again make no sense, but thats a different topic, T34>Tiger>TigerII> Panther in that order, simply because armor and penetration does not matter, all that matters is hitbox, and hitting the Tiger II is easier than hitting the Tigers hitbox, meaning you will one shot kill a Tiger II much easier than a Tiger, and hitting a Panthers one hit kill hitbox means again that only the hit box matters, and the T34 has a insanely small hitbox its stupid.

Do you think Brus will take the torch from our deceased Woody? There’s less arguing in forums since he’s gone and more sensible suggestions. It’s less entertaining :stuck_out_tongue:

go ahead and brag about your bs, I want a realistically portrayed ww2 game, and T34 85 bouncing Panther shots is pathetic.

I am not talking about balance as much as about immersion, and T34 85 should have never been on the same lvl unlock as a panther, because one was much better at its job, however since you guys dont care there is no point in talking to you.

There’s just one tiny detail ppl forget about Enlisted tanks.

Engagement range.

In WT, the Panther would sit back and snipe other tanks from 1 or 1.5 km away. In Enlisted, most encounters are 200m away, top.

Now you have the t34-85, which is probably the ultimate “brawler” tank of it’s era, facing Panthers, “sniper tanks” at close range. So yeah… the advantage Panther had, range, is gone. It’s why it’s a good matching. T34-85 is far from being a pushover tank, especially at close range where it excels.

And about bouncing shots on the T34-85: in WT, since you snipe it away with Panthers, most shots can be aimed directly at the hull. It’s not the case in a debris filled street.

T34-85 vs Panther is a very good matching in Berlin, and I wouldn’t change it. In such encounters, it’s the best tanker who wins.

Listen, I am not saying that the T34 should struggle with the panthers turret armor, however what I am say is that the panther should not struggle with the t34 turret armor either.

Panther has a much stronger gun and even stronger turret armor than the T34, yet the T34 penetrates the Panther much easier, and that is straight up bs, basically every fight in enlisted is under 500m distance, at which tank combat will most of the time be “shot first- kill first”, but there are some unrealistic exceptions in this game that dont make any sense, T34 85 and Panther are not the only problem, but the most obvious one.

I both agree and disagree. I think the T34-85 is better in the hands of less experienced players. What I mean by that is anyone comfortable using tanks or who’s played armored vehicles extensively in War Thunder, World of Tanks, Battlefield… they approach tanks differently in Enlisted that players who are still fresh. That’s what happened for me. I had no trouble whatsoever coming up against T3485s in my Panzer IV J, I knew the strengths and weaknesses beforehand. In contrast I got a couple friends to download Enlisted and when we tried Berlin they played their Panzer IVs completely differently, rushing straight into the thick of things not realizing that the Panzer IV can’t really play that role in Berlin very well or at least for very long.
Personally I hated playing the T3485 because of the lack of a cupola. I felt really restricted.
On the topic of T34s being able to eat hits. I’ve heard some people talk about this in the past but never really had an issue with it, as mentioned even in my Panzer IV J way back when I first started Berlin it wasn’t a problem for me. I still get the odd bounces here and there but that’s just the T34 it’s a trolly kinda vehicle like that

The 2nd T-34-85 fixes that issue and this is the T-34-85 that I’m mainly using. I even use the gold card version which is a fully upgraded T-34-85 with some decals on it.

As long as he calls me a “Sovietmutt” or something similar I’m good. Must also say things like “t34-85 ain’t op enough, noooooooooo”.

Eheh I miss that wasted retard. He was extremely dumb, but oh so entertaining.

Giving soviets the T-34 1940 will be pretty fair. And oh, it should only have shrapnel shells.

The actual alternative could be T-34 with 57mm gun, but they were very rare, and never were in berlin.

Well, that’s pretty historical. The driver’s hatch is 75mm thick on purpose, and turret shape also worked kinda like that irl.

I know I just don’t like the earlier variant with the 2 man turret

read some article about how the finnish stugs were ordered to shoot the drivers hatch of T34, because the hinge holding the driver hatch would brake after getting hit, but thats a different story.

I am telling you, 180mm of penetration power will not struggle against 75mm of armor, there is just simply no way, we are not talking about angled armor increasing its effectiveness, we are talking about how that door was apparently stronger armored than a jumbo Sherman, or even a Tiger II.

and 90mm of turret armor doesnt just turn itself into 200mm of effective armor just because its not flat.

Just to be sure:

Are you aware that the angle of impact both increases LOS armor AND decreases max pen at the same time?
