Same as title, got 52 kills in a match and i didnt even progress from level 2 to level 3. Maybe i’m wrong and if I am, im sorry.
Progression does seem a bit long, but considering it’s a gaijin game and free to play I feel like it’s to be expected. It would at least be nice to be able to have access to tanks AND planes before you dump 20 hours into it.
Progression length and setup may not be exactly how its going to be in release build; after all, that is why we are having tests - Please continue to give your feedback about your experience during this alpha test:)
This is a con of F2P games. I really wish Gaijin/Darkflow didn’t change their decision about the pricing model. I’d prefer to pay even 60€, but just once and enjoy it instead of hours of grinding in free game.
Currently, progressions is too slow and too RNG-based. Lucky players can get a god weapon at level 2 and steamroll through their progression, while other players might get stuck on 2 dozen mausers/mosins.
I hope they will add a simple store for weapons, instead of what are essentially lootboxes.
At first i though it was due to me losing all the time, but when i winned i didn’t get more xp either
Yea same thing happened to me took me ages to get to the next level
I feel like there is some form of exp reduction the higher level you get. On average I get around 40 kills with 6 squad deaths a game, when I was lvl 3: I had around 2000-4000 exp a game. However as I leveled up to higher such as lvl 5. My experience decreased, despite the fact I performed the same as I was on lvl 3. But now my experience has been reduced: from 2000-4000, to 1000-3000. Most of the times now I get only 1,5k experience from 40-50 kills and being first place on the team. What the hell is going on…!?!
experience gain really is too low for the average player to get past level 3-4 within the 3 or so days we are getting for this test
on other hand, i like it exacly how it is.
it could be even harder to level. so i can keep my interest on the game.
on other games i prety much loose interest once i had unlocked everything.
I don’t think this game would become popular if the progression stayed this much RNG-based. Don’t think about levels, think about the loot boxes
Remember: this is only ONE theater of war, in ONE Faction of the GAME. Imagine playing all theater of wars and then try and unlock all classes and weapons on each and every faction in every theater of war… You do the math, it will take a long time if you’re to do that.
Ok, I’m back and played some time. Conclusion?
Progression is horrible. Not only for an alpha test, it would be horrible even if it was a normal game.
There’s so many things to grind. First you grind squad points, there are three different trees where you can spend them: squad upgrades, personnel upgrades and worskshop upgrades. Squad upgrades, as the name tells, upgrade your squad, so you gain more experience and can increase it size. It also allows you to take different classes, this part is fine.
The bad part starts with personnel upgrades. To upgrade trooper class, you need to play basic trooper squad, nothing else. That would be fine if we had only one squad, not FOURTEEN (currently). You have troopers in basically every other squad but you won’t gain anything if you play them. It shouldn’t be like that. If you play as the trooper, you should gain experience for the trooper class
I won’t talk much about workshop upgrades because I’ve been ignoring it so far but it seems weird for me. Weapon upgrading should be much simpler. The more enemies you kill, the better your weapons gets and you at using it. That’s it. Oh, and better weapons shouldn’t deal more damage. The reload can be shorter, handling may be better but damage should stay the same. In my opinion that’s not fair in the long run. If someone new joins this game like half a year after release he would face players with three star weapons that are better at everything. They would have perks, more and better soldiers and he would have basic equipment.
Getting weapons is the worst part. Devs definitely changed something because I’m getting new weapons very rarely and if I get them, most of the times it’s basic Mosin. It’s third day of alpha test and I’ve got only a single PPD so far. Even though I have five assaulters already. How to fix this? Definitely increase the frequency of weapon drops. One per battle or two, maybe a better pack for a victory.
As Lurking_Eyes mentioned earlier, I don’t even want to think about the progression once all theaters are out. At least make classes unified for every theater to shorten the grind.
Yeah the progress is really long for too short of a testing period (assuming the test is gonna last just 2/3 days) in the last alpha i had to play the game for 2 whole days to unlock the Tiger 2 and i didn’t got the Stg, which was my goal, so i hope for a better EXP income or reduce in the EXP cost , as Lurking_Eyes said looks like there’s a EXP reduction over time but not only that on the last alpha (Berlin) i notice that my friend who i was playing with , was for some reason getting more EXP than i even though i was always the first player.
Well I’ve done my math here. On average, you’ll get at most 2000-3000 experience. While on average you’ll get inbetween 1000-2000 experience a game. No matter if you have most kills or you won the game. You’ll still only get 1000-3000 experience a game. I played a match just now which I managed to get 84 KILLS and 9 DEATHS and won the match as well. I only recived 1700 experience, how are we to unlock all of the classes of the close alpha testing when we can barely reach ranks without having a meltdown on how little exp you earn from the game. Oh I wanna fly the planes of Enlisted, sorry but it will cost you several days before you can even get it. By the time you get it, the testing will be over. Then you gotta add in the fact from my previous reply:
There is also experience reduction the higher level you are on, as the same results you earned from the first games, which you got around 2000-3000 experience. Is reduced down to 1000-2500 just after couple of levels. Like what the hell are you suppose to do to get most experience? Do you have to be man of war and get 100+ kills a game with 0 deaths only to get 3000 exp? There is no transparancy how we earn experience, we just earn it.
Progression definitely needs to be not only more gradual but faster to get through. The jump between 500 xp to 12000 is not only jarring but extremely off-putting. Not to mention that the max earnings of only a couple thousand XP means it will quite literally take many hundreds more games than there are hours in this test.
This whole weapon lootbox thing is also not okay whatsoever. I appreciate that you can at least break down duplicates but I do feel that system should be revamped to allow you to simply buy what you need and perhaps increase the cost of more powerful items like LMG’s to keep people from easily outfitting entire death squads.
I can definitely tell you that if the game goes into open beta with the current system in place its going to gut the playerbase and kill any possibility for the game to succeed, and this game needs to make a great first impression if its going to succeed.
Exactly, the thing which makes it even worse considering the Logistics and Weapon dismantling/upgrading. It is purely RNG, as we have no idea how we get the “tokens” to get the weapons, only by playing the game and hope you get one at the end of a match.
Then RNG for the lootbox itself which you hope for a 3 star weapon or soldier. Weapon Dismantle and upgrade is also purely RNG, the more you upgrade: the lower chance you have to upgrade it again. This is scary, not only is it RNG (which I mentioned). It can turn into a paid service with some slight changes to the mechanics and programming. From what I’ve seen, one good weapon can change a outcome of a match so fast from losing to winning. This game feels like it will already suck your wallet dry before you’ve done anything.
So yes, this game needs to make a good impression if people are to stick around with it.
Yep, I have given up on this game now. It has not even been released and they’re going to focus already how to get most money out of our god damn pockets…
I think I feel the same. I wanted this game to be good but it’s just disappointing. It could be a perfect middle ground between realistic Post Scriptum and arcade Battlefield but no, they had to make it F2P. I knew it was a massive redflag since I had found out about it. All F2P shooters share the same problems, they’re ridden with MTX and P2W mechanics. It turns out, Enlisted won’t be an exception. Grind is very long but don’t worry comrade, you can spend monies to speed it up)))). I think this is, at least partly why the alpha test is protected by the NDA. We have finally learned what this game is supposed to be.
I’d like to support the devs but not this way. I could pay even $60 for a product, but just once and enjoy the game.
