Is it difficult to enlist or are people just idiots?

I don’t know if this goes against any forum rules, but I ask myself this question every game…

Let’s start this philosophical debate.

Without insults, give your opinion on the matter.

And I’m not referring to people who play badly, those who don’t get over x number of points, but to those who seem to lack the brainpower to understand something simple like entering a point.

Everyone has bad games, not everyone plays the same, but there is one thing that every player in this game has in common… GET IN THE FUCKING POINT!

Thank you.

No. Because 90% of the time playing on the objective is shit for many reasons. I prefer to loose but have fun playing.

You can have fun without ruining the experience for someone else…

I was watching a console player stream and its because they’re on a joy stick they can’t run and gun like pc players can but usually for the person I was watching they would slowly get to the objective or die trying lol

I don’t ruin the experience for anyone. Or at least I don’t think so. I play normally, just not on the objective.

You don’t seem to get it… If the damn game mode requires people to be inside to win, why are 70% of the players in the back or to the side outside of it in buildings lying down without contributing anything?

It’s a team game and supposedly a strategy game. It doesn’t require the whole team to be inside (except for defense), but it’s not like everyone should just go to the enemy base, do nothing, and lose the point.

They play erratically, but for the most part they contribute more than PC bots :v

Then the real question is, why do they prefer to sit on the spawn and do nothing. It doesn’t sound fun and yet apparently it’s better than the alternative.

Of course, sitting still and doing nothing isn’t just fun, it’s super useful.

In fact, I’ll start doing it now, as the saying goes, “if you can’t beat them, join them.”

Of course, you win the game alone xD

I try to remind myself whenever I’m annoyed that everyone is their own person going through their own difficulties in the game. Key word here is “try”, it’s not always successfull.

Some(/most) games my engineer keeps dying (the “Curse of the Hammer” as I call it, if a soldier has it, he is the first one to get killed), sometimes I have games with 0 engineer score, and that’s not due to a lack of trying.

Sometimes you just get really unlucky, and that is also true for the other 9 people on your team, so even if it’s rare it’s by no means statisticly implausible for several people on the same team to have a bad game, and thus cascading into the whole team having a bad game.

“The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.”

And I understand that, which is why I don’t get angry; it’s a game. What I don’t understand is why it happens in 80% of games.

In League of Legends there is the famous “40-40-10” which means that you will lose 40% of the games no matter what, you will win the other 40% even if you do nothing and the remaining 10% depends only on you.

The difference is that in League of Legends, it’s 5v5, and depending on how you build up or what strategy you use, you can turn a match around on your own. The map is also small; winning alone is impossible on Enlisted.

And the reason is simple, you have 10-15 other players against you, the map is large, it’s full of obstacles, bombs, artillery, tanks, and enemy snipers, therefore, covering a large area by yourself is impossible.

If only you could count on your AI, but that doesn’t help either, so if you don’t rely on your team, winning is impossible.

And that is noticeable in assault or confrontation, where you have to enter a point and clear it of enemies in order to capture it.

Something that most people fail to understand and that the idiots on the forum make fun of you for pointing out.

It’s now more common, believe it or not, since the 20% penalty for leaving came into effect.

Devs went the lazy way and decided it’s easier to put out burning fires than preventing them from occurring.

So now ppl desert a bit less… But since the real issues aren’t fixed, they don’t get more useful either. I’ve seen many players during steam rolls to just sit in the back, driving motorcycles in circles, or at the very least building AA and remaining there, until the match ends. They even openly admit it.

Now before that dumb punishment patch, at least those players were replaced by bots canon fodder :stuck_out_tongue:

At least those people kill enemy bots, so I’m not complaining. It annoys those who want to win, yes, but the more you play Enlisted, the more you get used to it. For me, it’s normal. Relax and have fun. There’s no other option.
