Because their idea of fun is KDR
And TBH I sympathise, but from a different perspective.
I’ve been playing wargames for over 50 years - mostly table top with figures - and in “real wargames” you have limited resources and usually don’t get respawns or reinforcements.
So not getting them killed is RFI (Real Firetrucking Important) so I still have this learned aversion to taking losses.
the whole arcadey running-and-gunning is really quite hard for me to do - in terms of getting over my aversion!!
I don’t care about winning or loosing I just want longer games I would rather play one thirty minute game then three ten minutes games. Taking the point loosing the next then taking back the point we wonbefore. I just don’t like clubbing of loosing or taking every point without a fight. Running from point to point without seeing the enemy is boring. This is a war game I want to fight for every point, it’s like a t rex I want to hunt not be offered a chained goat
I can handle points alone as long as they help me defend it in any way. What mostly frustrates me is how incompetent people are towards vehicles. Many tanks would never be destroyed during a game if not my initiative
