I happened to meet IS-1 only in one game.And apparently he is a cardboard tank, which is very easy to destroy, unlike the second T-34.

the is 1 is just a slower more armored t34-85, the front turret armor is basically the same.
The frontal hull armor of the t34 is already normal.
So IS 1 only differs for the worse.
And the tiger, on the contrary, has at least a better gun than the panther.
IS 1 its like AVT 40,just for grind useless thing.

pretty much every russian tank shares the turret cheeks weakspot, so that is unchangable
it can be somewhat mitigated by wiggling your turret during reloads

I lately got very unusuall sh1t also with Tiger. It’s 88mm gun didn’t do any DMG to T34s from side twice today even if the marker was green. Distance was more than 100m however. Started even to think that it was some network/lag issue. Also not a secret that T34 can easilly pen Tiger frontal armor, even one shot it, if it’s not placed correctly.
That’s how it should be.
But a tiger has a better weapon than a panther.Therefore, at least some progress is visible.
Whats the point of leveling up the tanker 2 squad for Soviets in Berlin anyway except maybe potential future IS-2. I have yet to have a way to practice shooting tigers in this game even though War Thunder experience of destroying tigers on the upper front plate thing with the T-34-85 were a thing.
IS 1 have gun as and T-34,85mm.
I think IS-2 model 1943 is a better choice. Front and turret armor is still shite but the gun can put up a fight. Powerful 122mm round but slow turret and 25s+ reload to make it not too power creep. IS-1 only produce in a very small number in 1943, replaced and converted later to IS-2 model 1943 though.

so soviet unlocking best tank in the game (until tiger) from start but germans get worst version of pz4 (i rather use pz4 f2 or harsh language then this trash)

Having the same gun as the T-34-85 makes this tank really redundant much like what happened in reality which is why they quickly replaced it with the 122mm. It’s the late war version of the T-34 and KV-1 having the same gun situation while the Germans have a huge upgrade in firepower with the Tiger and its the E version too instead of the earlier H1.
