I like. The idea to bring old or field modification or trophy body armor to the axis as well.
It makes some sense to play game more what is good for everybody
i am on console and playing the game its not as easy to play and talk on console
yes the ussr beat a million-man strong army japanese soldiers almost entirely lacked
tanks, planes heavy artillery, machine guns and allies
one and a half in men if you count the koreans each as one man
outnumbered them in planes four to one
and tanks 13 to one
a great accomplishment for the russian empire Soviet invasion of Manchuria - Wikipedia
a third of that was korean conscripts
Well it was very the same army what Hiro Onoda served in - this officer fight 20 years after an end of WWII. And surrender only in 1970-s.
So yes that was a hell of a fight won by good planning, technical superiority, and extensive combat experience.
Million Japanese army is a million Japanese army despite all that boring stuff here which is supposed to belittle people’s achievements.
Bring Korean volunteers is a great idea I respect this.
Most of the help was made by Mongolian revolution army. Just to let you know.
700k demoralized japanese not good enough to fight the us marines, 300k koreans forced at gunpoint. it is more a million infantry then a million man army. counting only the japanese they had a two to one man power advantage if the japanese could have run faster there would have been no battle at all.
the ussr as a whole and not russia individually deserve much praise for there role in ww2. they fought more and suffered more than anyone in the European theater. the us fought for 4 years sank the japanese fleet liberated many islands including the Philippines. if us played second fiddle to the ussr in europe ussr played base in the pacific/asia.
that is the most important power was ussr in europe but asiathe most important power was the us
- 21,389 killed[14][d]
- Unknown captured in combat
- Large amounts of equipment captured[e]
Manchukuo:
- Most troops deserted beforehand[1]
Mengjiang:
- Most troops deserted beforehand[1
the army lost a quarter million soldiers before the battle began to desertion, if their commanders allowed it the entire army would have surrendered at the start. the army had one tank for every 2000 men most of them what by then would be considered light tanks. ussr had one tank for every 300 mwen most of them medium tanks, yeam i am calling you out less then 22 000 killed of one million thats not impressive thats a joke, as in what happens when an army fights a poorley armed mob.
Bring Korean volunteers is a great idea I respect this.

the 170k to 200k army that deserted
no thats the chinese
the 44k army that deserted before battle
dont see how 0 monglians did more than
well tbh they just came when all was more or less over. japan and its puppets suffered 3-3.5 million casualties in sino japanese war, against US they suffered another 2.5-3 million casualties in pacific, they had their navy destroyed and their homeland bombed(although nuke was intimidating, they lost a lot more to firebombing).
japanese were logistically f*cked cause of war and were forced to use obsolete equipment in manchuko. most of their army were raw recruits recruited in 1945 that were equipped for anti insurgency against local population and not for fighting modern army.
so on paper soviets won great victory, but ultimately war of attrition against chinese and US is what defeated japan. germany was also defeated cause of war of attrition against soviets.
I like to watch how any victory turns out to be insignificant, and any losses are forgotten. There’s a clear reason for this. Instead of celebrating the end of the conflict, someone has the audacity to say that a well-executed operation wasn’t good enough. It’s both ridiculous and pathetic. Just think about it - where did all those Soviet tanks come from in August 1945? And to think that they were secretly transported halfway across the planet - is that a joke? And is it a joke to cross the Khingan mountain ranges by vehicle and get behind enemy lines? It’s pointless to argue about it.
soviets have lot of credit for ending germany… not so much about japan. if japan had army that was not depleted by chinese and US, results would be closer to khalkin gol. but i guess that in your mind, soviets were the one who ended the war with japan cause they captured army full of underequipped recruits.
Well, that is 4 years was not enough in Japan to prepare a fortified area there. They also did not have enough 1000000 people. And fighting on occupied land with the Chinese, of course, made Japanese soldiers recruits. Logic.
In fact, Japanese pilots took their wives with them and crashed into Soviet tanks, as tank crew members wrote in their memoirs. Others rushed out of secret burrows with explosive packages right under the tracks. Powerful pillboxes with machine guns were created. And all this had to be stormed. Therefore, any attempt to give away the hardest battles, about 34,000 Soviet soldiers died for an easy walk. Well, on the one hand, it’s certainly not very smart. But on the other hand, it’s not very decent.
And most importantly, perhaps intentionally, perhaps by oversight, the fact is overlooked that the country that so painly completed the defeat of Germany was forced to re-enter the war 3 months later. To finish it. Of course, the memory of those who gave such a confident and rapid victory speaks of the high professionalism, competent planning and in the high technological superiority of the Soviet army in that war.
do you know in what state japan was in that time? majority of divisions in manchuko didnt exist before 1945. in okinawa lot of japanese soldiers were between 14-17 years old(idk for manchuko). majority of suicide bombers were ~17 years old.
do you think that nation that had 1 million fully capable soldiers would force high schoolers to fight on their home islands?
Including the Japanese forces in Korea, the Kwantung Army had over 900,000 men in 31 divisions and 13 brigades; there were about 400 obsolescent tanks and 2,000 aircraft (of the 1040 aircraft in Manchuria, only 230 were combat types and 55 were modern[35]).[36] However, the Kwantung Army was far below its authorized strength; most of its heavy equipment and all of its best military units had transferred to the Pacific Theater over the previous three years to contend with the advance of American forces. Some Kwantung Army units had also re-deployed south against the Nationalist Chinese in Operation Ichigo in 1944. By 1945 the Kwantung Army contained a large number of raw recruits and conscripts, with generally obsolete, light, or otherwise limited equipment. Almost all of the tanks were early 1930s models such as the Type 95 Ha-Go and Type 89 I-Go, the anti-tank units only possessed Type 1 37 mm anti-tank guns that were ineffective against Soviet armor, and the infantry had very few machine-guns and no anti-materiel rifles or submachine guns. As a result, the Japanese forces in Manchuria and Korea had essentially been reduced to a light-infantry counter-insurgency force with limited mobility and limited ability to fight a conventional land war against a coordinated enemy. In fact, only six of the Kwantung Army’s divisions existed prior to January 1945. Accordingly, the Japanese regarded none of the Kwantung Army’s units as combat ready, with some units being declared less than 15% ready.[37]
they were dying to america tank, panes, ships and subs, america that fought three times as many over 5 years and killed many more soldiers sailor and pilots. HyperWar: Japanese Naval and Merchant Shipping Losses During World War II
2 years, or 33% of the war isnt normally considered the beginning, especially for a war that we tend to forget they very much helped start.
Honestly total Soviet W, even looking at loses, considering you had the likes of Rehzev to compare to at this point, a great victory, one of the 3 turning points of the war imo, itself, Victory in NA and the Battle of Midway.
Liberation is a very strong word here.
Debatable however I dont wish to defend either type of authoritarian scum. Both disgust me.
Normally one looks to the 3 suns rising above Japan to the cause of their surrender, especially considering how much of a disprganised mess the Kwantung forces were, and how poorly equipped they were, honestly I could go on forever shit talking them, fuck the imperial japs, they got off way too lightly.
Saying all that, you are dumb if you say the Soviet Union was not one of the main reasons for an overall allied victory in WW2. Though only in equal part to the US who also joined “fashionably late” and frankly the UK, I think many of us, myself included, forget quite how much the UK contributed to total allied Victory all in all.
Well you can read a manual you know:
JM-154.pdf
Its very detailed and Manchuria was very important to Japan since Japan don’t have resources to this day. That’s why they needed to expand militaristically in the first place it was the most important conquest Japan made:
As you can see all the industrial capabilities where in Manchukuo zaibatsu was created with majority of the Steel industry. Shōwa Steel Works the company utilized low-grade iron ore from the region, mining 950,000 tons in 1934. 1934, Japan’s steel industry heavily relied on imported iron ore, with domestic mining contributing a small percentage of the total needs. While Japan had some iron ore reserves, they were limited, and the country depended on imports, particularly from China and British Malaya, for the majority of its supply. Shōwa Steel Works, established in Manchuria, was a major producer of iron and steel, but it also relied on imported ore. So as you can imagine without this territorial expansions there was not going to be Japanese Empire since majority of the resources needed by Japan came exactly from this 2 places. Imperial Japanese Navy and Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) where separated US fought mainly the Navy and The Imperial Japanese Army had significantly more soldiers than the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. So do the math. Majority of the Japanese Army was defeated well by China… You should realize that majority of the Japanese army was not in the pacific. Japan would not just split majority of its forces in China if China was not more important then the pacific. Compare Battle of Wuhan with any US Japanese engagement and do the math …
just to be clear…
Well yes Battle of Wuhan is the biggest WW 2 battle that Japan fought during WW 2 much bigger then any other engagement they had. That’s why I aways wanted to have more mainland China battles in Enlisted. Very interesting locations.
Approximately 335 warships
