Japan and Italy where not exactly major powers same is UK. UK was like Japan a declining power but Japan was in a better position then UK.
Well with that definition of WW2 soviet’s feeding themselves into a meat grinder and being as evil as any axis power. The only thing that saved them from becoming a villain is being attacked by a Germany and being forced to join the allies. Ok by you definition Russia fought WW2 US armed the allies and Italy, uk, Japan were there ‘helping’ funny way to see wW2 but by you’re definition I agree

Well the people that win the most in wars are the people that dont fight them having the strongest army is a silly idea the fastest way to go bankrupt.
Unless like the French and Russians someone with an army wants what you have and tries to take it, but yes the best way to win a war is not to fight it
Well conquering a land and governing a hostile territory are two different things. Fast territorial expansionism bankrupted even the richest empires in human history.
In reality, this is not going to happen. Body armor in combat is not a common sight in Enlisted. I have played many battles for the USSR, many indeed, but I always see it. Apart from me, there is one, maybe two people in our team who have body armor. And even then, not always. Often, I am the only one in the team who uses cuirasses. I doubt that the situation will be any different with the Germans.
So no, not everyone will be running around in armor.

And maintaining a world class army is bankrupting the US, look at Europe scrambling to rearm. There is no place in the world or a war for a second place army, soon to be modern art.

Well I mean USSR didn’t lost militaristically it lost economically do to many wars ,same as many other empires. Having the strongest army bankrupted USSR. Germany in WW 2 also lost do to the cost of the invasion of Moscow after this the German economy was dead it could not recover. The British Empire had so many colonies that it had to pay its fleet unsustainable amount of resources to keep this colonies.
Every day I pray for the effects of body armor to be removed.

That’s right, I greeted you in battle recently, and you didn’t respond, and now I understand why.
During this brilliantly soviet assault, most of the Japanese people surrendered, survived, and returned home to their families. And that is good.
