Increase the hitting power of vehicle mounted M2 browning HMGs

I had the feeling from playing that the engineer built HMGs hit significantly harder than the same gun mounted on a vehicle.

Practice range seems to confirm it. The engineer built ones will instantly wreck the practice targets but vehicle mounted ones will not do the same.

As vehicle mounted HMGs are subject to overheating and reloading, they are already weaker. So they should have comparable hitting power and not be weaker in this too.

you will just get nerf to HMG… so be careful what you wish for…

Doubtful. That would make them completely pointless.

Which they are on vehicles right now. Shooting at someone with HMG sometimes feels like you are basically outgunned vs. bolts since they will OHK you, you cannot zoom properly to see them and have a chance to just get a hit marker before you die in your exposed position. :rofl:

50 cals are pretty meh atm

Browning needs sacrifices. The .50 cal must eliminate the enemy at a cyclic rate. 1 round per bad guy

not really… they currently deal 100 damage

well that is artificial balance. you have mobility and armor with vehicle HMG making you hard to kill, but you get overheating and less damage, while stationary HMG get better damage and overheating, but soldiers manning it are easily killable and HMG is easily destroyable. it is kinda ok for game balance cause otherwise vehicle MG would be OP and vehicles overall would be totally OP.

You act like the pintles and cupola mounts are the main armament that gets used all the time

for M13 it is main armament. also if HMG gets equalized, then other MG need to be equalized, which would make them all OHK.

The MG 34/42 on German tanks is NOT an M2 Browning

tell me damage of vehicle mg34/42 and infantry mg34/42

I suppose you argue that 20mm autocannons should also do same damage as regular MGs then, as they are basically big machine guns?

nah… just that it needs to be approached by case by case basis for game balance.
getting m13 with 100 damage is OP.
getting vehicle mg34/42 with 13.2 damage is OP.

Well nah duh it’s case by case. We just said that

Rather than being balanced, I want tanks to have everything they should have
Although I also hate tanks and machine guns
But I have more ways to blow them up

Good things should not be affected by a bunch of crybabies and monkeys

if they didnt nerf tanks and bombs, you would just see exodus of infantry players from this game.

Or go play Fortnite instead
They shouldn’t even play Helldiver
Because they will only attract bots to their teammates

This game can almost be said to be at the baby level in the 2 battle category.
If they can’t even think then they shouldn’t try any PVP games
