I’ve seen everyone say that the VG 1-5 is garbage. But I beg to differ. The VG 1-5 is a hard gun to balance, if it could equipped by every soldier it would be OP. But if it’s only an assaulter weapon it’s now Under powered .
Sure it can’t compete with the PPD or PPSH in close range but at longer ranges it dabs on them. Use the VG 1-5 with it’s strengths and weakness’ in mind. Don’t spam it in close quarters, spam it at longer ranges.

it is not a bad weapon but it is not useful to assaulters it would have been better to give it to normal soldiers instead of the fg42 since it has the fire selector

FG-42 should be used only by basic riflemen. Just like other autos and semiautos.
Everyone else except assaulters and mgunners should use bolt rifles.
what do you mean by this? if you mean that only trooper class, this would include all classes that can currently equip semi autos, then it would only really apply to everyone but the US since they had carbines and garands as standard issue

This game have nice gameplay with bolt rifles but you don’t need them anymore at all once you unlocked the semiautos. You also don’t need troopers because every other class can do the same things but better. And I guess this game shouldn’t have useless soldier classes.
Or germans are just bad and dont realise how good gun vg 1-5 is… it only has one downside, you need hit your target. mayby this is reason abd they rather use easier full auto guns
LMAO. In the whole game only Soviets get laser PPD, which definitely needs no skill to use. Both MG and FG need some skill to control that recoil, in MG is its horizontal recoil(3 times of PPD) and FG is its vertical recoil(also 3 times of PPD). Soviet players are the least qualified to mock others in the entire game.

Speaking about the recoil control, you need to hit enemy 3+ times at medium range. With horizontal recoil ppd ACTUALLY have it becomes much harder than hitting enemy one damn time with mg or fg.

Its not only in enlisted but all games.its funny how fg, lowest recoil of any semiauto in game, needs some skill. Also germanmg’s that have low recoil are skilll guns, while their opponents only have op weapons with 2-3x recoil of german weapons.
Also only time i played against him wad berlin cbt and he quitted mid match like 5 other germans and still he talks about how allied players quit instantly when he takes fg42 and shoots to air… what a hero he is
Laser beam won’t be constantly moving left and right as if you were drunk. PPD is a close-range weapon, and it can’t compete with mg or autorifles at 100+m distance.

Offcourse you can compare all your weapons to something like knife or pistol if that helps your self esteem but try compare fg to avs and suddenly german ‘skill’ weapon has 2,5 times lower recoil…

i’m still ok with this but 100+ m distace fights are rare
Most of the time it’s to point blank to 50m maximum (+/-) fights.
Mainly cbq fights. As you have to cap points. or defend them
i’m just not agree when i take 3 bullets burst in full head passing 50m

Still that doesn’t matter when, as I said, every soldier becomes an assaulter with their amazing FGs. It’s worse at cleaning rooms full of bots, but it’s better 1v1, it’s better at long and mid range, and it could as well be a semi-automatic, cuz ppd is completely useless in this mode.
