Improving gameplay

1: Allow the Engineer to dismantle or remove occupancy from their stationary gun installment.
(I have had AT guns, AA hijacked by people that do it merely to troll and not properly utilize it.)

2: Fragmentation on High Explosive ammunition seems to be bugged or nerfed when impacting several different surfaces. (Unless they were nerfed, I don’t really read patch notes)

3: Allow more than 4 members per squad. Because in reality, no military uses 4 man squads. The standard is 6, and platoons being 20-50.

4: Add a chatbox for squads in-game messenger, or private message capability at a minimum.

If anyone has any other suggestions, I’ll edit this post and add them. Please bring attention to this thread and it will consolidate most agreed upon suggestions. - Thanks

I have no clue what you are talking about.

It won’t let me upload or post links to show you. But the imgur url is

  • Slow down pace of gameplay, and add more strategic gameplay, so that it feels more like a WW2 game, and less like a knock-off CoD game.

  • Make each type of soldier more true to their type. Stop giving equipment that turns around and makes other soldier types obsolete, just because the run-and-gun players want to run as many automatics and OP characters as possible.

    • a strong example of this is that explosive packs being used as an all-in-one grenade that can be used by any type of soldier, rather than AT soldiers being added to squads and utilized for their specific strength, Anti-tank, as the explosive packs generally just do it better
    • another strong example is that radio operators are just used 10x more than mortars, because they are significantly easier to use and far more effective (reducing the barrages significantly and requiring more precision will make them far less spammed and far more unique than just “Better mortar squad”

The smallest squad once fully upgraded has 5 soldier and it’s sniper squad.
All other do have ar least 6. And they can have up to 9 soldiers.
And if you are talking about stacks. Then definitely no. 4 are more than enough.

You don’t understand what I’m saying. Not your squad, as an individual. I’m talking about when you invite other people to play w/ you in your squad on the bottom right hand side of the menu, it says “Invite player” there is only 4 slots.

I don’t think there’s anything we can do about overpowered squad types because those are probably premium paid squads. They have to have some kind of micro-transactions like that in order to continue to develop and update the game because it’s free.

A player on Japanese side actually placed an entire minefield near the point, and then detonated it, blowing them all up and wiping more than half the team lol. I rarely get killed by explosive packs anymore, other than when I am in a tank.

Actually no. Just core mechanics of certain squad types are significantly stronger regardless of being premium or standard tech tree squads.

Look at assaulter squads for example. Lots of players just spam these back-to-back-to-back. Even the standard tech tree ones.

Why?

Because they are unique in that they have access to assault weapons, but then on top of that they give equipment like explosive packs to them and they no longer need to put in anti-tank or engineer squads to have something to deal with tanks.

How many people do you think run around with AT squads equipped?

Then your idea is totally horrific.

4 men groups are more than enough in 10 v 10 matches.
In fact, this number should be reduced to 3.

The average is 6, the max is 9. Just upgrade them

Oh yeah no. Concurred. We need less people squadiing up, not more. Although 4 player groups is standard

Dude you don’t understand LOL. Literally. How many people will i take to understand what exactly I’m talking about. GO INTO THE GAME . TO THE MAIN MENU.LOOK AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT HAND SIDE… YOU SEE THE “INVITE TO SQUAD” option? There’s a total of 4 available spots to add your friends to play with you, making a total of 5 in A SQUAD…

Wtf do you mean, there is still sessions with BOTS… having an entire pre-organized team should be allowed.

imo there’s two reasons

  1. they’re very easy to use, very effective, 7 man squad simply fun to use

  2. they’re VERY versatile, they can deal with tanks due to explosive packs as you’ve said, they can build rally point, they can call arty, literally why on earth would you want to bring any other squad

I just went 164 and 1 death using mortars and AT Gun. …lol

Unrelated, but does anyone know how to convert ERPL format to any other format? Because if you download a replay, that’s what they give you. It’s a pain the ass to have to go into the game, and re-record a replay. I can’t seem to convert the file type to anything else, I’ve tried in VLC and a few others.

and that is the EXACT problem that I have with them.

They are far too versatile. They make other squads simply not worth taking and their unique strengths basically removed.

The game needs a more defined system of counter-play. Where each squad has unique strengths and weaknesses, rather than all-purpose squads that are repeatedly spammed because they do all the other jobs simultaneously.

I have 20d battle time.
1.86 K/D
60% Win rate
The weapon I have most kills with, are shitty bolt actions. 20,000.
It’s just a matter of what your personally good with. My submachine gun kills are only 3500.

Not saying its impossible, I’ve done it too, but generally only when the other team is excessively bad or I’m playing mostly bots.

The thing is that mortars require manual aiming, generally a teammate as a spotter, access to the open sky, only come on the mortar squad, and a large quantity of ammo boxes. Its effect is that it can kill infantry, unless cover is involved, and with the 80mm mortars of the German and Soviet factions a direct hit can kill a tank.

Meanwhile, radio operators can just click on an area on a map every couple minutes and delete everyone and everything in that circle. It obliterates all fortifications, has no limit on range, can be used from inside of buildings, and can be equipped to every squad pretty much. Oh and let’s not forget that a near hit will kill light tanks and about half of the medium tanks, and a direct hit will kill even the heaviest of tanks.
