Improved bullet holes and low latency mode

Commanders! In the upcoming update, we’re adding the support of low-latency modes for Intel and AMD GPU owners, as well as overhauled visuals for bullet holes.

Low latency for Intel and AMD GPU owners

Intel and AMD GPU owners will be able to enable their vendor specific low latency modes. By delaying the input processing on the CPU, the next frame will be rendered with more recent information, reducing latency and making the game feel more responsive. This feature can be enabled in the Options when using supported video cards:

  • Intel® Arc™ GPUs running DirectX 12: “Intel Xe Low Latency”
  • AMD GPUs with RDNA™ architecture (both integrated and discrete): “Radeon Anti-Lag 2”

More realistic bullet holes on glass

We’ve changed and improved the looks of bullet holes too. Instead of a flat decal, each hit will leave a true hole in the glass, making the effect more realistic and immersive. Please note that this feature won’t be available on the Minimum graphics quality setting.

when can we get updated versions of FSR or DLSS in the game? @MajorMcDonalds

enlisted still using FSR 2.0 i believe and FSR 3.1 looks a million times better in my opinion, i enjoy using it for anti-aliasing

These improvements are usually included in “minor updates”
am I guessing right that the minor update and major update is now “combined”?

Enlisted gets more and more beautiful

Quite interesting. Announcing more new features after two test servers have already been run.

great news.

looking forward to test it.

( … i know it’s technically already on the test server. but i made the grave error of putting it on a hard drive and it takes ages to load. while my main enlisted is on the ssd. but… only so much space. )

however,
quick question, would it be possible to get a devblog regarding the editors additions as well?

those are not so easy to understand for the untrained eyes ( like mine )

i do see we got lots of new buttons and… possible new functions.
or would be great to know anything else we might have missed.

considering that there were no notes, and i was geneually surprised and curious about them.

but perhaps this is not the thread for it.

Yes, snails always work like this. :snail:

Just to confirm; do these glass bullet holes have any impact on shooting out windows in general? For example clearing a second floor window so you can throw a grenade in.

Most likely with the test server being delay after the PPSH-41 (s) got removed from being a TT weapon (Still my greatest achievements)

Enlisted’s DLSS was updated after only a few weeks of delay from DLSS 4’s initial release date earlier this year, so I think it’s fine for now.

Enlisted’s FSR was last updated March 2024 as best as I can tell, so it’s odd that it hasn’t been updated for FSR 3, which has been available for ~3 years now. Would be nice if this could be fixed.

We’ll mention it to developers just in case, but the graphics/render team always do have lots planned for the future!

I think Snail pace would be an improvement over what we get. :joy:

It’s nice they don’t focus on the things players are concerned about, instead they concentrate on making blood and bullet holes look better.
