Improve the italian arsenal in battle of tunisia

after maxing tunisia i realized that they could have added more stuff for the italians instead of adding german equipment or perhaps they could add those changes to the new progression tree, sure those would just be early campaign stuff but i feel like having variety is important, the vehicles at least the models could be imported from war thunder, but modelling the weapons is more extra work

the weapons:

Brixia Model 35
-italian 45mm mortar, could replace the german mortar since the early tunisia should be more about italians?
image

Modello 1928 Tromboncino
-its a shame that this is not included :frowning: ,replacement for the german grenade launcher squad, schiessbecher but italian.

Bodeo Model 1889
-hard hitting revolver for italians since they dont have any
image

Glisenti Model 1910
-goofy ,looks like luger
image

Mannlicher M1895
-fast firing bolt action, alternative to the mod.38(please add bayonet for this gun)
image

berreta m38(20rnd mag)
-could replacethe mp28? it has faster rate of fire
image
FM24/29
-apparently some of those lmgs were captured and used by the italians, could replace the zb26(it would be kinda identical)would just be a nice change

(pray to the gun jesus)

fucile controcarro 35(P)
-polish at rifle apparently used by the italians, could be a nice replacement for the pzb 38(its ugly anyways)
-has 5 round magazine so it would have faster reload
image

vehicles:
L3/33
-plz make it happen, funny flame tank

M15/42 (instead of pz3j)
-has more armor than the m14/41,slightly better cannon and smoke screen ability

75/34 M42
-slight upgrade to the 75/32 M41 TD(better cannon could get HEAT rounds, has smoke screen)
image

buildables:
Solothurn S-18/1000
-could have been cheaper and faster build AT gun for the italians(the brits could get buildable QF 2-pounder)

Breda M37
-standard HMG used by italian army in ww2,could replace the mg34 if italians would get engineers 2
image

Scotti–Isotta Fraschini Modello 1933
-high calibre mg for the italians,12.7 mm which is same as 50.cal
image

Breda 20/65 mod.35
-replacement for the 20mm flak, same gun is in the AB41
image

ps:plz add the customization for tunisia already :frowning:

There will no Tunisia after merge, just desert map no1, desert map no2 and so on

I actually really like italian gear.

Certainly not opposed to more.

*also expecting FNAB to be a nice addition from merge. I like it.

All plausible stuff.

Yet, I’ll gladly starve on new Italian gear for now, if it means a standalone Italian tech tree coming sooner.

Damn good suggestion! Italy and Britain deserve their own Tech Tree in the future!

More factions = bigger probability we’ll end up with mixed faction WT-like MM imho.

it sure does fellow czech brother

Yes and No. I’m positive the names of the maps will remain.

They will likely keep the “flair” of Tunisia even after the removal of campaigns. Why would they actually do Desert Map no. #1-5? or Rural Map #1-9 ?

Or rename “Gogol Street”, “Herman Goering Strasse” to something generic like “City****”
Or “Lehrter Bahnhof” → “Train Station” .

You get my point.

The problems that occurred when this campaign merge-idea first was announced have been partly “solved”
As you know: They already confirmed they will try to match early and late war weapons to it’s contemporary maps. No reason to make the maps ultra generic beyond recognition.

Only a fool wouldn’t notice he’s in Stalingrad or Berlin anyway.

I was just kidding around, I really look forward to merging.

The funny thing about the brixia is that it can also do direct shooting so it works like a grenade launcher

Yes some captured but we captured many more ZB26 than FM (enough to require a manual to be printed if I’m not mistaken) so I think the ZB is more suitable but if we want something Italian we could put the Terni machine gun, the Isotta Fraschini machine gun or the Breda -SAFAT 7.7
Terni
fucile mitragliatore TERNI

Isotta Fraschini machine gun

Breda-SAFAT 7.7

I believe that with the increase in armor something more powerful than a 20mm is needed

for example 65/17 would be decent but we could also put 75/32
(the 65 shield covers very well)

75/32

Italy also used German 37, 50 and 75mm guns

it’s a 20mm

as 50 cal. we can put the Breda-SAFAT 12.7 which exists both in anti-aircraft and anti-infantry function

The one in the picture is a Scotti-Isotta-Fraschini 20/70, a 20 mm gun
The 12,7 Scotti gun was used only on airlpanes as far i know

that is a horrible design choice. perfect for a limited run vehicle XD.

Italians captured ZB26? Can I have some additional information on this, such as where they were captured? Maybe in Yugoslavia?

these are french mguns FM 24/29,that look kinda alike

Well, I know, but @Patton1998 Patton1998 wrote that the Italians had far more loot ZB-26s than the French FM24/29s. It is news to me that the Italians used standard Czechoslovak light machine guns. The only possibility I can think of is that the Italians used the Yugoslav ZB-26 and ZB-30J.
